A donation of $9.00 per meal (this is a $5.00 discount for dues paid-up members) or $14.00 for guests is requested to cover cost of the meal set-up, building rental, entertainment, etc.. Please e-mail: [email protected] by Monday evening, April 6th to make your reservation and let Mary Sue know what you would like to bring as a complementary side dish or dessert. This helps Mary Sue plan out the dinner. Entertainment: Our Program Director, Jay McClure says we will be having Kindred Spirit’ with us. They have great sounds so I am sure we will enjoy them again. Dark Horse: There will be a Dark Horse Auction this month. Bring your WRAPPED , unique gift as part of the Dark Horse Auction. Surprise everyone with your choice of gift. March Meeting: Our March meeting was highlighted by the Corned Beef dinner so elegantly presented by Phil and Mary Sue Stall along with Gabby Gillen and their helpers. There were special raves for the side dishes, salads and desserts. The desserts sure tempted everyone. Good Show, Folks ! ! We had a serious discussion on the upcoming elections in April. We fortunately have at least one candidate for each office except Vice President. The slate of candidates is noted elsewhere in this newsletter. Our White Elephant Auction elicited lots of laughs and hilarity as members chose what item to place their tickets against. Expectations were high when it came time for the tickets to be drawn. Many got their choices but just as many did not so it all evened out in the end. The important thing was that we all had fun. The First Annual Titusville Celtic Night This is a first and is set for Friday night, April 10th from 6-

Announcement List of Candidates for Society Election The following individuals have stepped forward and are candidates for Officers

in the Scots-American Society of Brevard for the years 2015 - 2016. Elections

for this term will be April 8, 2015. Term of Office will be May 2015 – April

2016. Society by-laws state: “The term of office for Officers shall be one year

or until a successor has been elected and installed except that the term for an

Officer elected during the year to fill a vacancy because of death, resignation

or revocation of membership shall be for the remainder of the term”.

They also state: “An Officer shall not serve more that three (3) consecutive

terms in the same position unless a replacement cannot be secured”.

These candidates meet all of these requirements.

We had a great St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Melbourne on March 14th. We needed more marchers but

those who showed (5 Society members and two Guests) had a Grand Old Tyme – Great crowd in town ! !
