** 5 OUT Variations- Hunting intelligent drives

a. Changes the speed of the ball moving.b. Every third pass of so, do a power dribble.c. Only bigs can power dribble someone?d. This action gives the lane time to clear out and spots can be filled.

- Pass/Cut/Posta. Changes the speed of the ball moving as well.b. Everyone needs to post after they cut and hold the post for one additional pass.c. They could back screen their way out.d. Designate some one post after they cut.

** 4 OUT Variations- Green or Red Post Playersa. Green = Post stay on the right side of the laneb. Red = Post stays on the left sidec. Put the post on their best sided. Other block is open to anyone who wants to post. It is also open to drive.- High Post – Wings or Corners

a. When you pass from the top, consider filling the ball side corner.b. Post can only ball screen the ball on the wing or in the corner

c. The post stays at the high post just waiting for the ball to go to the wing or the corner so they can run screen and roll.

- High Post – Guard in the holea. UCLA screen. Post pop and receive a pass. Look high/low with the guard(Our Badger).b. When the high post reverses the ball, they will just go back to the high post.c. Any UCLA screen pop out, look high/low then reverse the ball.- High Post – Utah Screen

a. Instruct the post to stay high as much as possible. Tell everyone else to back screen the post with each cut. b. After the post cuts off the screen, they should get back to the elbow.c. Run your offense high and wide with this. Slow the ball down with each catch so that the screen can happen.d. Post will move elbow to elbow. Post can also move block to block opposite the ball.- Dribble Drivea. Post stay on the weak side block away from the ball.b. The four perimeter players are looking to dribble attack and circle move.c. This is essentially the dribble drive motion.- Screen the Short Cornera. Post work SC to SCb. Cutters screen the post after the cut. Post duck in to the front of the rim. If you do not get it, go to other SC.c. The best action is the top opposite the post screening the post.

- 3 Deep Playa. Use to start the offense in a walk it up situation

b. #1 could drive right off of #2’s cut as well.- 4 Sprint

a. Any time that a certain player catches the ball, the post will sprint to them and set a ball screen.

- 4 Shootera. Put your best shooter at the ft line in a 41 High look. b. The shooter is looking to set back screens for cutters and popping out for shots.c. play from the 4 out spots. Keep the top of the key open for the shooter to pop out too.

** If your players are moving th ball too fast and not hitting cutters, make then shotfake and jab with each catch.

- 4 Closea. Closing the game 4 out 1 inb. Really big space. Post can screen but not a lot.c. Post will stay in short corner but will flash to the high post if they see a guard in trouble. On this catch, they should turn and look for a backdoor cut.d. Guards stay above the ft line extended.e. Late in the game, you can replace that post with another guard.

** 3 OUT Variations- 32 Chop

a. 1 high post 1 low postlow post is at the SC. This is the post who is not as great a scorer.b. High post is more of a scorer.c. Low post job is to screen for cutters, rebound and finish drop offsd. High post is a back screen but does not pop. Ball screense. If the high post screens on the elbow that is the same as the low post, the low post must move to the other SC.

- 3 Sprinta. Posts at the SCb. Every time that the ball goes to the wing run a screen and roll on that sidec. The screen comes from the opposite post. The post on that side must go to opposite SC.d. Perimeter rules do not change. Really look to cut form the top to the ball side corner. This way when they run screen and roll on that side, you will be the safety (on middle drive).

e. On ball screens. Nothing good happens until the second dribble. Better angle to make the pass.- Blocker/Movera. Posts stay on your side of the laneb. Post screen for cutters and set pin screensc. Perimeter can pass and cut, dribble at, penetrate and pitchd. Perimeter can BS other perimeter people.e. Perimeter should fill out ball side corner occasionally.f. Post should look to set pins then duck in.g. Start the action with a dribble at.

- Screen The Screener Actiona. Any time that the post goes to set a ball screen on the wing, the opposite post should sprint to set a screen for the post after they roll.

b. A lot of times the second screener is the one who is open popping back to the 3 point line after the screen.

** When in 4 OUT, any time the post sees a Power Dribble, they will sprint out and set a screen for the roll person.
