Our Industrial range of Power Distribution Boards are fully IP66 tested not just the outlets, after all what’s the point of having an IP66 outlet if it is mounted to a bucket? Each board is tested in our Australian facility by certified electricians and are supplied with these test results.

Of course it goes without saying all of our products are manufactured for the harsh environment and rough treatment dished out on many mine and construction sites.

We design all our distribution boards to allow them to be used in a plug and play scenario, negating the need for an electrician every time you move locations or have a different power source. We also design and build custom boards to meet the specific requirements of individual sites. Building these boards on the Sunshine Coast allows us to meet your specifications and supply in a timeframe the competition can only dream about.

WHAT ARE BRAIDED (EARTH SCREENED) LEADS?

SPECIFICATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE

A braided lead is internally the same as a normal extension lead. What makes it different is the addition of a tinned copper braid around the diameter of the cable that is then covered by another UV stabilised PVC outer sheath.

The tinned copper braid is then connected to the earth pin at the plug and socket end, so if the lead is damaged there is more potential for the electricity to flow to the earth path tripping the RCD, or earth safety protection device, preventing electrocution to personnel and protecting equipment.

Due to the inherent nature of its construction, the braided lead is far more durable and tougher than a standard extension lead and with an IP66 plug and socket, it can be used in wet and dry conditions.

There are many situations where a traditional RCD or RCBO does not offer protection. A traditional RCD isolates power when there is a current imbalance between the active and neutral conductors (fault to Earth). To do this the RCD generally relies on good earthing integrity and a low earth impedance.

The Powersafe RCD DUO ESD offers a much broader range of protection by operating in various earthing environments. In the occurrence of a fault to earth, the RCD DUO ESD is designed to isolate power on MEN, IT & TT type systems. The RCD DUO ESD is connected to the earth circuit, which however, is not required to be grounded, so the need for earth staking generators is a thing of the past. Generally at 40 volts (the potential point to electrocute) the device will trip at 10mA. This can be altered to meet the application at the point of assembly.

Unlike many other devices on the market the RCD DUO ESD has no relays or coils with moving parts and therefore is not subject to vibrations caused by generators and transportation.

The three phase RCD DUO is designed to be paired with the MCB on the supply circuit. This allows the fault condition to be easily identified. If the RCD trips there is an active /neutral imbalance. If the RCD DUO ESD trips the MCB it can be one of the following issues; an overcurrent (MCB), or a phase loss or voltage on earth fault (ESD). The RCD DUO will isolate in the event of a first fault and will allow power use without an Earthed electrical system while still offering earth fault protection. The device can be fitted to RCD if required.
