SCARECROW CONTEST RULESCreate a scarecrow for the Fall Season. Use your imagination to design what your Harvest Scarecrow would look like out in the field or in your front yard! • No sharp objects or weapons allowed. • All scarecrows must be freestanding.• Props ONLY allowed on scarecrow. • Any objects must be attached to scarecrow. • No props can be placed around, along side, in front or behind scarecrow for display.• Scarecrows to be inspected for safety once they are displayed, prior to contest beginning.

DELIVERY & PICK-UP Scarecrow entries must be dropped off on the far side of the contest at the South entrance (Broad St.) of the Mission Plaza Between Noon and 2 p.m. Depending on number of entires and logistics you may be called prior to contest for an exact time of drop off. There will be a forklift available to help unload your scarecrow. Scarecrows will ONLY be allowed to be picked-up once contest is over.

PUMPKIN CONTEST RULES• Pumpkins must be grown and cared for by a contestant on the Central Coast. This includes: San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County’s. • Each contestant is limited to one entry per category • Pumpkins in all categories MUST be a shade of orange.• Pumpkins that have won any other weigh-off contest are ineligible.• Pumpkins will be weighed and judged in their natural condition. • In the event of a tie, all prize money will be distributed evenly between the tied parties. • Decisions of the judges are final in all classes. • The heaviest Business, 4-H/FFA, 12 and Under Pumpkin is eligible to win overall Heaviest Pumpkin.
