PLACENCIA VILLAGE COUNCIL PUBLIC NOTICE ‐ EASTER WEEKEND SWIMMING: The Placencia Village Council would like to alert the public/visitors that the following are prohibited for the Easter weekend: 

NO SNORKELLING BEYOND THE MARKER BUOYS 

NO SNORKELLING ACROSS THE CHANNEL AT THE PLACENCIA POINT OR AROUND THE PLACENCIA CAYE   

NO JET SKIS  

There will be two (2) active Life Guards on watch from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.   Please exercise safety while swimming.  

TRAFFIC AND PARKING: We would like to inform the public/visitors of these available parking areas:  

The Hulse property located across the street from the Police Station 

MnM Hardware Parking lot 

Vacant lot located across from BTL Office  Please park your vehicles properly and do not block parking area’s entrance/exit.    DO NOT DOUBLE PARK ON THE MAIN ROAD and note that speed limit within the Village is 15MPH.  All delivery trucks must commence their delivery promptly and move on to the next stop, so as to avoid traffic jams and the bottlenecking of traffic.  

VENDORS: Vendor Fees for the Easter Weekend will be as follows: 

Clothing vendor:  $25.00/day 

Food and drinks vendor:  $50.00/day 

Veg/Fruit Vendor:  $25.00/day 

Appliance/Furniture:  $50.00/day 

Jewellery, or any other:  $25.00/day  

All vendors should have a proper trash receptacle to dispose of their trash properly.  

TRASH RECEPTACLES: We have installed new trash receptacles alongside the main road and on the beach, please use them.  “Please don’t litter, keep Placencia clean.”
