Board of Education Goals
1. Pioneer Schools will provide multiple opportunities and variety of formats (social media) for parents and students to receive support in the implementation of the Common Core Learning Standards.
2. The BOE will continue to collaborate with administrative team on ways to increase
time with students and teachers to enhance relationships and supports.
3. The BOE will inform the school community of district initiatives through a multitude of resources.

4. OLD BUSINESS
4.1 Consideration of a motion to amend resolution 8.8 from the June 7, 2016 as follows:
Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, Jessica Maiorana (Mueller), who holds initial New York State Teacher Certificates permitting her to teach in the Grades 1-6 certification area in the public schools of New York State, is hereby appointed to the position of teacher in the tenure area of Elementary Education for a probationary period of four (4) three (3) years, to commence on July 1, 2016 and to end on June 30, 2020, 2019. Eligibility for tenure at the end of the probationary period is dependent on Jessica Maiorana (Mueller) receiving APPR ratings of Effective or Highly Effective in three (3) of four (4) preceding years and no Ineffective composite overall rating in the final year. The expiration date of this probationary appointment is tentative and conditional only. In order to be eligible for and considered for tenure, the teacher must meet all requirements of the educational law and corresponding regulations. The salary during the first year of the appointment will be at Step 2 in accordance with the salary schedule as outlined in the Pioneer Faculty Association’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.

4.2 Consideration of a motion to amend resolution 15.7 from the July 5, 2016 as follows:
Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, Sarah Lawson, who holds initial New York State Teacher Certificates permitting her to teach in the Students with Disabilities Birth-2 and Grades 1-6 certification areas in the public schools of New York State, is hereby appointed to the position of teacher in the tenure area of Education of Children with Handicapping Conditions – General Special Education for a probationary period of four (4) three (3) years, to commence on July 1, 2016 and to end on June 30, 2020 2019. Eligibility for tenure at the end of the probationary period is dependent on Sarah Lawson receiving APPR ratings of Effective or Highly Effective in three (3) of four (4) preceding years and no Ineffective composite overall rating in the final year. The expiration date of this probationary appointment is tentative and conditional only. In order to be eligible for and considered for tenure, the teacher must meet all requirements of the educational law and corresponding regulations. 5.11 Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent to establish one
Teaching position in the tenure area of Elementary Education with an FTE of 1.0.
5.12 Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent to increase the teaching position in the tenure area of Physical Education from a FTE of .5 to a FTE of .75 effective August 31, 2016. The individual currently in this position is Reed Mitrowski who will resign effective August 30, 2016.

bid for HVAC Work – Contract 113 at the Delevan Elementary School to the lowest bidder Mollenberg-Betz, Inc. at a contract amount of $191,800. – posted
5.14 Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent to pay Jennifer
Higgins a rate of $75 per day to provide interim payroll services to the District during the Payroll Clerk’s leave(s) of absence for the 2016-2017 school year.

Broderick, who holds an initial New York State Teacher Certificate permitting her to teach in the Literacy Birth-Grade 6 certification area is hereby appointed to the position of teacher in the special subject tenure area of Remedial Reading for a probationary period of four (4) years, to commence on August 31, 2016 and to end August 30, 2020. Eligibility for tenure at the end of the probationary period is dependent on Chelsey Broderick receiving APPR ratings of Effective or Highly Effective in three (3) of four (4) preceding years and no Ineffective composite overall rating in the final year. The expiration date of this probationary appointment is tentative and conditional only. In order to be eligible for and considered for tenure, the teacher must meet all requirements of the educational law and corresponding regulations. 6.7 Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent to approve the

Kimberly Farr as a preferred substitute teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. The salary for the 2016-2017 school year will be $95 per day in accordance with established substitute teacher rates.

7.1 Consideration of a motion to approve items 7.2 – 7.10 7.2 Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent to approve the
transfer of Jane Antkowiak who serves in the Civil Service title of Data Entry Machine Operator-Accounting from the High School Office to Information Technology Services. Salary for the 2016-2017 school year will be $14.92 per hour.
7.3 Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent to provisionally
appoint Jonathan Tomaka to the position of Physical Therapy Assistant effective August 31, 2016. Salary for the 2016-2017 school year will be $18.00 per hour in accordance with the Pioneer Auxiliary Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.
7.4 Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent to appoint
Courtney Bromeyer to the position of Teacher Aide for a probationary period of ninety (90) days commencing August 31, 2016 and ending October 29, 2016. Salary for the 2016-2017 school year will be $9.85 per hour in accordance with the Pioneer Auxiliary Association Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Melanie LaScala to the temporary summer position of Food Service Helper at a rate of $9.70 per hour effective July 28, 2016 through August 18, 2016.
7.6 Consideration of a motion upon the recommendation of the Superintendent to appoint Carla
Fontaine to the position of Level 1 Lifeguard for the 2016-2017 school year. Salary for the 2016-2017 school year will be $9.00 per hour in accordance with established Lifeguard rates.
