In 2013, DOH launches Pilipinas Go4Health campaign to prevent lifestyle diseases. It is primarily an information campaign which aims for more Filipinos to be inspired and make a personal commitment to embrace better daily habits.
NCDs such as cardiovascular diseases, cancers, respiratory diseases, and
diabetes claim more than 36 million lives worldwide annually. “When it
comes to their health, Filipinos need to be liberated from misinformation or lack of information, indifference, and
careless practices and habits,”
Go Smoke-Free
The DOH Smoking Cessation Program aims to promote and advocate smoking cessation in the Philippines and provide smoking cessation services to smokers interested in quitting the habit.
Go Sustansya
highlights the importance of a proper diet which includes more vegetables and fruits, and less meat, processed foods, salt, and sugar.
Go SiglaOnly 7 out of 100 Filipino adults exercise
at least three to four times a week, Go sigla aims to promote doing regular physical activities.
