Inspiration

Pierre Hardy was inspired by the skyline of New York City. He loves the buildings and the volume and the construct aspect of its town. He wanted to pull all this in a shoe.

Making the Silhouette

Before taking the shape, making a silhouette of the skyline in New York City. It is effective for creating a design from accustomed shape.

Simplification

Simplify the silhouette to approach to a practical design.Deduct unnecessary details and make the design much more simple and modern.

Rough Sketch

Drawing a rough sketch before making a prototype andget a general idea of final design.

Color Choice

Pierre Hardy chose black, silver and gold for the shoe.It was meant to recall the glass facades of the buildings.

For the sketch, I used marker and color pencils.I focused on expressing the metallic texture , which is the most appealing element of this shoes.
