Picnic in the Park: A Kind of Magic featuring Killer Queen Alan Price Saturday 16th July at Heron Rogers Field, Oundle, Northamptonshire (by kind permission of Oundle School) Gates open at 5pm Prepare to be enthralled as Killer Queen returns to Oundle to set the stage alight with its spot-on renditions of classics such as Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions and Don’t Stop Me Now. Arguably the best ‘Queen’ tribute act features the superbly talented Patrick Myers whose portrayal of legendary front man Freddie Mercury is simply uncanny. It will feel as if Freddie himself has returned to the stage! Backed by three hand-picked band members who skilfully emulate Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor, Killer Queen is guaranteed to bring the original band’s showmanship and electrifying performances to life. ‘As near to the real thing as you're likely to get. Freddie lives! A pop legend is back.’ The People Best known for tracks such as House of the Rising Sun and I’m Crying, singer Alan Price also proudly joins Oundle’s Picnic in the Park line-up this year. The former keyboard player for British rock group ‘The Animals’ will delight audiences with his inimitable style and classic Sixties tracks. The evening will culminate in a spellbinding show of fireworks by 1605 Fireworks. Concert ends 10.55pm. Dancers please note – a huge dance floor awaits you. The Picnic in the Park offers a memorable summer’s evening of entertainment for all. You are most welcome to bring a picnic, or make it easy for yourself and enjoy all there is to offer on site. With circus entertainers for the children, you can sit back and relax with friends. No need to worry about parking either, with free car parking provided adjacent to the site. Let us tempt you with a list of all you can expect to find at Picnic in the Park: Real ales from Digfield Ales, the local prizewinning brewery - Pimm’s, wine and coffee - hog roast - beefburgers - paella - crêpes - ice-cream and possibly more besides! Don’t forget the wonderful Food Festival taking place the same day in Oundle’s Market Square will provide plenty of picnic goodies. Turn over for prices and details of how to book, and do remember that you can save up to £11 per ticket by booking early. PicnicinThePark28.02.11:Layout 1 28/02/2011 13:19 Page 1
