pickering sued over election smear pamphlet
DESCRIPTION
It's hard to forget that sensational story about the Ryde mayoral-style punch up that salivating journos thought was a ripper of a yarn - and forgot to check whether they'd been taken for a Ryde. The law came through in the end - Mr Tagg was given a good behaviour bond and no conviction. Now Mr Tagg, 63, has begun defamation proceedings in the Supreme Court against Pickering, claiming the 53-year-old had loudly and wrongly described him as "crooked and corrupt" in a discussion at the polling booth at Putney Public School in February.TRANSCRIPT
