With 74 students receiving 4.0 Honor Roll, 102 students receiving Honor Roll (3.5 to 3.99), and 59 students receiving Honorable Menon (3.0 to 3.49) Summer homework and school supply list will be included in the students packets that they receive at their award celebration. They are also on our website under documents. Future 7th and 8th grade students need to read at least two books from the guidelines listed and practice a bit of math. Summer is a great time to complete your community service hours. See page 3 for several opportunities. The students awards packet included a log sheet. 6th Grade: 15 hours; 7th Grade: 20 hours; 8th Grade: 25 hours Log sheets are available on our team page on the Robinson Website. If the hours are not completed Social Studies grades will be lowered 10%. Community service hours for next year can start on May 23 at 3:31 pm. We are in the still working on enrollment for next year. If you do not plan on returning to Robinson next year, so we can plan for next year. Hope everyone has a fantastic summer!

Volunteers Needed

Have you heard of Volunteer Kansas? It’s a website

(www.volunteerkansas.org) for people who want to find

exciting and useful ways to engage in their community.

Students can browse opportunities to volunteer by loca-

tion or by their interests.

United Way has a website that lists

volunteer opportunities for teens. For

more information, visit http://

volunteers/ .

Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) YVC projects engage teams of 8-10 youth ages 11-18

volunteering their time and service to help local non-

profits and learn more about real issues in their com-

munities. YVC's summer programming is offered at a

subsidized rate of $49/week with full scholarships

availability to anyone demonstrating need. The youth

scholarship application is available after clicking

"Register" and submitting your waiver. A flyer of this

summers opportunities is on page 8. For more infor-

Wichita Public Library Will you be in grades 8-12 next year? Want to

help your community, but don't know how? Volun-

teer at the Library this summer! You'll meet other

teens, help kids sign up for the Summer Reading

Program, and assist staff with important tasks. It's

a fun way to get experience that looks good on a

college application or resume! If your school or

club requires community service hours, volunteer-

ing at the Library could help you meet your goals.
