PHS Parent Page Prospect High School A California Distinguished School Dear Panther Parents, Happy March Madness! As we “spring” forward this month towards the twelve week grading period, and as students are getting excited about the warm weather, our spring dance, and celebrating the many March Madness school spirit activities, it is important to remind students to keep focusing on their academic goals on their high and post high school future. As a staff, we will be reviewing student responses in a recent Study Hall Survey where we surveyed close to 600 students from all grade levels to see how we can further improve this time. We believe that Study Hall, when used wisely and strategically, is a great tool for student success. I am also excited to announce that PTSA in collaboration with San Jose Police Department is offering an important and informative parent education night on teen use of drugs and alcohol, Tuesday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m., in room 30. As principal, I want to ensure that we have many useful and informative parent education nights because I strongly believe that as a community, we can work together through education, awareness and preventative measures, to help our students succeed academically, physically, and socially. If you are interested, please go to our PTSA website and RSVP. We are extending this important event to our feeder schools, because our community involves these important institutes and education is never too soon. I hope you all enjoyed your February break, and as always, I look forward to seeing you at one of our many Prospect events.
