for preparing students to be excellent professionals in print and electronic journalism, cinema, radio, television and computer centric multimedia fields. A balanced education system, of both academic and practical exposure, creates understanding of how various media of communication operate; what are the effects of media on the audience; and what is the nature of media auxiliaries such as advertising, public relations, etc.

We take pride in being the only media training centre in Asia to have such a huge professional infrastructure of wellequipped production studios & film libraries. The robust infrastructural facilities along with highly qualified and experienced faculty create unique synergies and enable 360 degree training to students, right from ideation to the final marketing and dissemination of the mediaproduct.

Asian Education Group offers both graduate and post graduate level courses in management, print, electronic media and film to equip the students with adequate knowledge and skills in their chosen field of creative work. Our close links with Mumbai Film Industry puts us in an envious position in comparison to theother media schools. It is no wonder that we draw the highest number of students to our institute and have made a record number of over a thousand films since our inception, a no mean achievement by any standard. We welcome you to our prestigious institution and sincerely hope that you might find us the right place to embark on your professional education in the world of media and entertainment.

    SCelluloid… a world so surreal

yet a world whose imagesarrest the collective

sub-conscience of humanityThe Gods of small things leave

with times yet their persona continue to haunt the children of

    a lesser God

India is a nation obsessed with celluloid… living a fantasy spun by the ‘Merchant of Dreams’. Cinema has become one of the most powerful and popular art forms today. It originated in France and soon emerged as a form of entertainment all over Europe. It arrived in India in 1896 and since then it has always managed to create a wave of hysteria that remains unmatched.

Cinema is a marriage of many arts and creative faculties. It is that art form which both gives to life and takes from it. The ideas and the technique behind presenting those ideas bring the best of storytelling in cinema. It is a passionate relationship between celluloid and the artists and craftsmen and technicians. It is indeed the most synergetic, composite and extravagant artistic expression.

AAFT School of Cinema provides exposure to students under the umbrella of film making, not only in the

craft of Motion Pictures, but also in the areas of Anima ti on, Fashi on and Mass Communication. The programmes take the students through a journey of self discovery with major modules in the field of cinema – Acting, Camera and Lighting, Art Direction, Still Photography, Post Production, Cinematography, Screenplay Writing, and Script Development.

There is a great emphasis on creatively molding the minds of the young aspirants. An AAFT student is not merely a skilled technician. He or she is trainedto develop mental faculties and dive into the areas of philosophy, psychology, literature and communication skills. In the coming years, we hope to produce talented and dedicated film professionals. At AAFT, we take great pride in shaping the future of Cinema, operating at the grass roots of it all – providing a great FILM EDUCATION.
