RIYFF is a unique international film event in Hønefoss, and an important platform for new talent and creativity from all over the world. The festival showcases films made by filmmakers 14-26 year of age. The Winner films 2018 will be awarded with the RIYFF AWARD, the “Oppgangssaga” – symbol of Hønefoss.

Greatvarietyof screeningsandactivitiesThis year RIYFF offers a great variety of special screenings and activities for everyone! 43 films from 21 countries are represented

in the international competition, with the family-friendly “Film of the Day” and our special screenings more than 50 films are being screened throughout the festival. There will be workshops for filmmakers and students as well as a “Family Day” with a Drop-In Animation Workshop for young and old. We are looking forward to several exciting films made in Ringerike municipality. (“The Painful Truth” by Steinar Hybertsen, “The New Wave” by Carl August Klevjer, “Ali Aker av Kali feat. RIYFF er en unik internasjonal film festival i Hønefoss. Det er en viktig plattform for nye talenter og kreativitet fra hele verden. Årets festival inneholder 43 nye, spennende filmer fra 21 land – alle av unge filmskapere 14-26 år fra hele verden med et nytt uttrykk og budskap. Vinnerfilmene 2018 vil bli tildelt RIYFF AWARD, “Oppgangssaga” -symbolet til Hønefoss.

en “dagens film” some er for hele familien.Med filmene fra festivalen, sammen med de spesielle visningene blir det vist over 50 filmer til sammen. Det vil være flere seminarer samt en «Familiedag» med «Drop-in» animasjosverksted for barn og ungdommer. Vi gleder oss til flere spennende filmer som er laget i Ringerike, (“The Painful Truth” av Steinar Hybertsen, “The New Wave” av Carl August Klevjer, “Ali Aker av Kali feat. Yung Charli” av studenter fra Ringerike videregående skole og Ringerike Kulturskole presenterer også filmer av studenter). I tillegg vises “Unseen” av Andrews Ogorodnikov som er fra Russland.

On her film she worked on between the ages of 16-18 years old and filmed 6 months in South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Thailand, China, USA, and Canada. It had it’s first screening at the Commission on the Status of Women conference in 2017 at the United Nations and won about 20 Awards so far.

The New Wave er en science-fiction film, inspirert av sjangersidestykket som begynte sin fremgang i filmverden sent på 70-tallet. Det er en historie som begynner i det små for hovedpersonen, Thomas Archer, men ender i uante konsekvenser som vil sette sitt preg på samfunnet rundt Thomas Archer i lang tid fremover.

The New Wave is a science-fiction film, inspired by the sci-fi revolution that started in the late 70´s. It is a story that begins small for the main character, Thomas Archer, but ends in a series of consequences that will forever change the world Thomas Archer and his friends live in.

Director: Carl August Klevjer (20) is an aspiring filmmaker from Norderhov, Ringerike municipality. Carl August attended the media and film course at Hønefoss High School and produced several short films which competed in Norwegian film festivals. “The New Wave” is his biggest project so far as he produced it as a scriptwriter, music composer, cinematographer and editor. For his shooting he chose several locations and actors from Hønefoss and Ringerike.
