Drama Club
The Attleboro High School Dra-
ma Club, under the direction of
advisor Mr. Pete Tarsi, proudly
presents the play The Cripple of
Inishmaan, by Martin McDonagh
at 7:00 PM on Friday and Satur-
day, December 2 & 3, 2016 in the
Robert H. Bray Auditorium at Attleboro High School.
The play tells the story of smart and caring Billy
Clavin (played by Colby Goyette, class of 2018), born
physically disabled, who longs for a better life than
what 1930s coastal Ireland has to offer him. He lives
with his adopted aunts (Alexis Ramos, ’17 & Riley
Nedder, ’19), who care for him deeply. Billy is close
friends with the dimwitted Bartley McCormick (Mark
Murray, ’17) and secretly loves Bartley’s foul-
mouthed sister Helen (Madeline Griffith, ’17). The
village gossip, Johnnypateenmike (James Scott, ’17),
brings news of a Hollywood producer filming a movie
nearby, so Billy seizes the opportunity to leave Inish-
maan for good. His abrupt departure and subsequent
return profoundly affects the people who care for him
that he left behind. It is a darkly comic yet poignant
and tragic tale of people struggling with their chal-
lenges—both physical and internal—and rising above
them.
Come see for yourself! Tickets will be available at the
door both nights for $10, or $7 for students and
senior citizens. Please be advised that the play con-
tains language and situations that may not be suitable
for younger audiences. For further information, email

News from the Guidance Department
AP Exams
It is that time of year to begin thinking about AP ex-
ams! Even though AP exams are taken in May, much
of our preparatory work begins now! Attleboro High
School subsidizes a small portion of the AP exams.
Students who are enrolled in AP courses will be given
their individual payment forms in their AP courses.
Students are asked to pay for their exams during
the week of January 9-13 in the Guidance Center,
room 236 during D block/all lunches. Students
should see Ms. Little, Mr. Parrillo or Ms. Hickox on
January 3 if they need any assistance.
The Opportunities Fair
The School to Career Office, the Guidance Department
and the Office of Special Education will be hosting the
fourth annual Opportunities Fair on February 28 from
8:30-10:30 AM. Area businesses, colleges, military
branches and community support services will be rep-
resented to assist students with their post-secondary
endeavors. Seniors will be invited to this event based
on their responses to a survey in advisory. Any student
who has questions about the event should see Robbi
Scruggs in the School to Career Office or Julie Little in
the Guidance Department.
ASVAB Exam
Students interested in joining the armed forces need to
take the ASVAB exam. Attleboro High School will
once again be a host site. The first opportunity to take
the exam will be on December 9. Interested students
should contact their Guidance Counselor or Ms. Little
as soon as possible as seating is limited. There is no fee
for this exam.

TDA - Driver Education at Attleboro High School
Join the over 1000 families that chose Teachers Driv-
ing Academy as the driver education program for their
child. Quality classroom instruction and the conven-
ience of on-site classes make TDA the perfect choice!
Students aged 15 years, nine months and older are eli-
gible to take driver education classes. In order to earn
a driver’s education certificate, the state of Massachu-
setts requires students to take 30 hours of classroom
instruction, 12 hours of driving instruction, and six
hours of driving observation; parents must also take a
two hour parent class. Both the student and parent
classroom instruction will take place at the high
school; the driving instruction will take place off site.
See the schedule below for the remaining session
dates. The cost of the classroom instruction is $80.00.
The next 3 sessions are:

AHSAA Community Leaf Rake
On Saturday, November 12, 2016, graced with perfect weather
conditions, the AHS Alumni Association held its 4th Annual
Attleboro Community Leaf Rake. Working with Attleboro’s
Council on Aging, the AHSAA brought together students and
athletes, their advisors, coaches and adult volunteers, community
members and their families, and enthusiastic alumni to rake, bag,
transport, and clean the yards of 23 Attleboro senior citizens and
veterans. An additional 18 yards are scheduled to be raked by
corporate entities, in conjunction with the AHSAA, in the com-
ing weeks. Student and alumni volunteers engaged with these
interesting and vibrant members of our Attleboro community
while cleaning their yards -- a win/win for all involved!
The AHSAA wants to express its immense gratitude to the fol-
lowing student organizations and athletic teams, along with their
advisors and coaches, for their assistance in our leaf-raking ef-
forts: the Leo Club, the National Honor Society, the Class of
2020, Girls Field Hockey, Volleyball, and Soccer teams, Boys’
Hockey, Freshman Football, Baseball, and Basketball teams;
advisor/coaches Gail Breit, Rachel Skerker, Angela Larson, Car-
oline Altieri, Catherine Botsford-Milne, Lindsay Antunes, Dick
Seibert, Mark Homer, Drew Fernberg, Matt Bosh, Mark Houle,
and Steve Santos.
Thanks as well to ALL the volunteers within the Attleboro com-
munity (many of whom have no affiliation with AHS) who
stepped up and helped us as part of the 4th Annual Community
Leaf Rake.
We are all BLUE PRIDE at its best!
Tattletale Yearbook 2017
Dear Parent/Guardian
Senior year comes so quickly. It is an exciting and special
time for students and families. An important event that
precedes Graduation occurs on the last day of school for
seniors, Yearbook Dedication Day. Students receive their
Attleboro High School Tattletale and peek inside to find
their picture and remember times gone by at AHS. We
would like to provide you with the opportunity to be part
of that special moment. This cherished keepsake could
include a message from you. The Senior Parent section of
the yearbook offers advertisement space in various sizes
from one eighth of a page to a full page. You can congrat-
ulate your child and surprise them with a unique message
that reminds them of how special they are.
Placing an ad is easier than ever since you can create your
own message online. Personalize the message with a fa-
vorite photo or have the entire family add their well wish-
es. Follow the instructions on the next page and create a
lasting memento for your family.
What makes a yearbook special? Pictures!

Leo Club
During the month of November, LEO Club
members have fallen into community ser-
vice (pun intended!) The LEO Club took
part in various community events that are
sure to be memorable. From participating at Hill Rob-
erts 2nd annual Fall Festival, serving Thanksgiving
meals at local churches, organizing the food drive, and
holding our signature leaf raking event, members have
been working to cultivate a positive, caring atmos-
phere in the Attleboro community. We look forward to
further spreading this atmosphere in December
through upcoming events like Christmas for Kids! If
