Grand Parents Day A huge thank you to all our grandparents and grand friends for your attendance at our special assembly, open classrooms and morning tea on Friday. We were standing room only which is testament to how highly valued this annual event is.

The Snack Shack School Canteen It was so wonderful to see grandparents; parents and friends all come together to help celebrate a lovely morning at our School, with record numbers in attendance a good time was had by all. I would like to say a very big thank you to all the volunteers that had either helped on the day and or donated yummy cakes, scones and slices for the School’s annual grandparent’s day morning tea last Friday. Your efforts help pull together a very successful and very much appreciated event. Thank you for all the wonderful team work displayed on the day. Well done Ladies. If you would like to volunteer in our School Canteen please either fill out a form in the School office or drop in to see myself on either a Thursday or Friday in Canteen hours. P&C BBQ on Election Day- Saturday 23 March, 2019 A successful BBQ was held on Saturday. Special thanks to the parents who were able to support our BBQ fundraiser.

K-6 Cross Country- Friday 29 March The Tea Gardens Public School annual Cross Country carnival will be held on Friday 29 March 2019 starting at 9.30am on the School Oval. Students are encouraged to wear their house colours and appropriate running footwear.

Stewart House Donation Drive Envelopes have been sent home. To be eligible to win a $4000 holiday, please place a $2 donation in the envelope provided and return to the school no later than Friday 24th May 2019. K-2 Easter Hat Parade – Friday 12 April 12:00-12:30pm On Friday 12 April, our K-2 students will be involved in our annual Easter Parade. Students are encouraged to make their Easter hats at home with the help of parents. Further information is going home separately today. School ANZAC Service On Friday 12 April, Mr Bob McMaster, Mr Geoff Fowler and Mrs Jennefer Ross Henry will be attending our annual ANZAC school service as part of our regular weekly assembly. ANZAC Day (25 April) – Tea Gardens Town Service

ANZAC Day is on Thursday 25 April. Each year we encourage all students to march and participate in this very special community service. Students are asked to wear summer uniform and the arrangements are:

10.00am Assemble at corner Ogden and Marine Drive

March starts a short time after. This will be followed by the ANZAC Day service at the War Memorial

The Tea Gardens RSL Sub-Branch invites all people to attend and join in to ponder the sacrifices of those who served their country and gave their lives so that we all may live in a free and peaceful society.

Canteen will be opening for a trial period each Monday for the remainder of the term.

There is a possibility of this becoming a permanent Canteen day in Term 2 depending on the demand.

Please note Monday Canteen days will open for the first break only offering a limited lunch menu with drinks and snacks as per normal.

Thursday and Friday Canteen days will run as per normal.
