PREAMBLE: Merchandising involves all the planned activities to execute and dispatch the right merchandise on
time. The course incorporates all business management subjects like Marketing Management,
Management of Man & Material, and Costing & Finance in addition to the core subjects of
Merchandising Management along with Textile Manufacturing & Computer Applications.
DURATION: TWO YEARS FULL TIME (4 SEMESTERS)Min. ELIGIBILITY: Graduate in any discipline from any recognized UniversityADMISSION PROCEDURE: Written exam followed by personal interview
This course will train the candidates to be a successful merchandiser in the garment industry with
all the attributes required. Further it will help them to understand what it takes to succeed as a
buyer or a merchandiser and the many exciting and challenging aspects of the role.
OBJECTIVE:
As a Merchandiser one can work in areas like Garment Production, Textile Units, Sourcing
Departments, Buying Houses, Export Houses, and Quality Control Department. There are ample and
excellent opportunities in the Retail, Visual and Export Merchandising. As Merchandiser one is appointed at managerial and crucial positions in a company where they are
expected to execute an important role.
