BABIES

Repeat WordsPlay a word game as you prepare to feed your child breakfast or lunch. Name some things as you place them in front of your child. See if he will repeat them back to you. Comment: “You are learning so many new words!” Tell the Bible story (reverse side). Say some words from the Bible story for your child to repeat after you.

Sit and StandPlay a silly game of sit and stand. Sometimes do not sit all the way down but bounce back up quickly. Sit down together. Show the Bible story picture (reverse side). Talk about the Bible story. Mention that God loved us and sent His Son to earth. Pray, thanking God for loving you and your child.

Look Through a BibleShow your child a picture in a Bible storybook. Talk about what you see. Read the story to your child. Encourage older infants to point to objects in the picture when named. Remind your child that he hears Bible stories at home and at church. Say: “People can learn that Jesus is God’s Son.”
