Two desperate people…

We should trust in Jesus because…

#1: Jesus is Lord over sickness• Jesus restored the

woman’s health through his power

At once, Jesus realized that

power had gone out of him. (v. 30)

We should trust in Jesus because…

#1: Jesus is Lord over sickness• Jesus restored the woman’s

health through his power

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed

from your suffering” (v. 34)

• Jesus restored the woman’s social and spiritual condition

We should trust in Jesus because…

Jesus restores us from spiritual sickness

“Daughter, your

faith has healed

you...” (v. 34)

Jesus is Lord over sickness

We should trust in Jesus because…

#2: Jesus is Lord over death

Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue

ruler, “Don’t be afraid; just believe” (v. 36).

We should trust in Jesus because…

girl’s life from physical death

“Immediately the girl stood and

walked around. (She was 12 years

old.) At this they were

completely astonished” (v. 42)

We should trust in Jesus because…

Jesus restores us from spiritual

death

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-- it is by grace you have been saved. Eph 2:4-5Jesus said to her,

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even

though he dies” John 11:25

Jesus overcome eternal death for us

so that we might have eternal life with him

Put your trust in Jesus because He is Lord

over all

Put your trust in Jesus even when things seem hopeless
