Teachers’ Day Celebration
Every year on 5th September Teachers’ Day is being celebrated. Teacher's Day is marked in honour of Dr
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was born on September 5, 1888. Dr Radhakrishnan was India's first vice
president and second president. He was a great scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna recipient. Since 1962
- the year he became president - India has commemorated Dr Radhakrishnan's birth anniversary by paying
tribute to its teachers and gurus on this day.
Engineers Day
Engineers Day is celebrated annually on 15th September as a tribute to greatest Indian Engineer Sir. M
Visvesvaraya every year. Essay competition is also conducting in the campus on this occasion to make the
young minds to think the role of engineers in developing India. Institute celebrates BRAHMA event on
engineer’s day every year.
Engineer’s Day Brahma’2019

The event BRAHMA’19 commenced at 8:30 a.m. in the Seminar Hall on Engineer’s Day, the 15th of
September, 2019, celebrated as a Tribute to Sir M. Visvesvaraya.
The event commenced with floral welcoming of the Guests followed by the lightning of the lamp by:

Life sketch of Sir M. Visvesvaraya was presented followed by the Inauguration of the event by Dr. Nidhi
Singhal by clicking of the mouse of the first event ‘REMEMBER THE CLIP’. The events progressed with
great enthusiasm by the participants. All together 10 events were organized from 9:30 to 12:30 with about
more than 325 participants. Winners will be awarded with certificates.

Events’ Descriptions
Remember the clip
The event started at 10 am, in the Seminar Hall. The event was inaugurated by Sir C.M. Arora.
It consisted of two rounds and a team of two members.
In the first round, a clip was shown to the participants, based on which 10 questions were asked. 5 of
around 80 entries, qualified for the 2nd round.
The second round was a rapid fire round. In order to answer a question, based on a clip, the teams were
required to press the buzzer. The first two teams, which answered the maximum questions correctly, won!!
Technopuzzle
The event started at 09:50 am, in the Conference Hall 2.
There were more than 80 participants. Due to overwhelming response of the students, LH 63 was chosen as
an additional venue.
The event consisted of 1 round, with 1 participant in each team.
It consisted of a jigsaw puzzle, consisting of 50 technical words, scrambled up! A participant was required
to find the maximum no. of words in a time duration of 10 minutes.
The first two participants to find maximum words in the time allotted were declared the winners.
Software presentation
The event started at 10:25 am in Seminar Hall after the completion of the first round of ‘Remember The
Clip’.
There were 2 participants in each team.
The participants had to present software based on some practical life application. Each team was given a
minimum of 5 minutes to present their software. A total of 8 teams took part. After the presentation, the
judges raised questions to the participants regarding the software specifications. The two softwares which
impressed the judges, the most, were awarded.
Paper presentation
The event started at 10:25 am in the Conference Hall 1.
It consisted of one round, having 2 participants in each team.
There were 4 teams, who took part. Each team was given 5 minutes to present a paper on any topic of their
choice, followed by a 2 minutes discussion with the judges. However, the discussion time, with each team
exceeded the time limit.
The two teams, who impressed the judges, the most, were awarded.
PC Solutor
The event started at 10:10am in the Conference Hall 2.
It consisted of two rounds, having 1 participant in each team.
In round 1, there were around 60 participants, who were given a set of multiple choice questions, based on
daily computer applications, which needed to be solved in a given time limit. 6 of them qualified for the
second round.
The second round was a buzzer round. In order to answer a question, the participants were required to press
the buzzer. The first two participants, who answered the maximum questions correctly, won!!
B – QuizZ
The event started at 10:30 am in the Conference Hall 2.
It consisted of one round, having 2 participants in each team.
Around 50 teams took part. The question paper consisted of 30 questions, based on business affairs and
general knowledge. The first two teams to correctly answer maximum questions in the given time limit of
30 minutes, won !!
AD – mad
The event started at 11:00 am in LH 63.
There were 2 rounds. Around 31 teams, consisting of maximum 3 participants each, took part.
It was a very interactive event. In both the rounds, the teams had to convince the judges to buy a product,
given to them. The products were daily use items like soap case, bucket, comb, broom, empty plastic bottle
etc.
4 teams qualified for the second round, out of which the best 2, to convince the judges in the best way, won
!!
DB-maniac
The event started at 11:30 am in the Conference Hall 2.
The event consisted of one round, having 1 participant in each team.
Questions were asked based on database & SQL. There were 10 participants, out of which the first two,
who scored the maximum in the time duration of 20 minutes, won !!
ROBOARENA
The event started at 11:45 am in LH 63.
The event consisted of two rounds, having 1 participant in each team.
MCQ’s were asked in both the rounds, related to robotics and its applications. In the first round, 30
participants took part, out of which 6 qualified for the second round. The first two participants to score the
maximum, won !!
GK-PeDIA
The event started at 11:45 am in the Seminar Hall.
The event consisted of one round, having maximum of 2 participants in each team.
Questions were asked based on current affairs, aptitude and English proficiency. Around 50 teams took
part. The first two teams to answer maximum questions correctly, in the given time limit of 20 minutes,
won !!

National Science Day -2018
Global Institute of Technology and Department of Science and Technology ,Rajasthan govt.
organized two days programs on National Science Day at Regional Science Centre and
Science Park ,Shastrinagar, Jaipur.it was inaugurated by chief guest Prof. C.B.Gupta,BITS
Pilani, who has awarded shikshaRatanaward 2011 and Best Citizen award 2011. Program
were started with esteemed presence of Dr.Renu Joshi,Director global Institute of
Technology, ShrikailashMishra, Curator,Science Park, Mr. abhishekKilak,Project
officer,DST.
Dr.BimanUpadhyay,Prof.,MNIT Jaipur discussed about the life of shri C.V.Raman
including Raman effect and explain its role and applications to present students of different
schools.
Prof. C.B.Gupta explained the importance of Maths and science in real life. Mr.
abhishekKilak focused on the different activities running by the govt. of Rajasthan in the
field of science of technology.
First day of program Drawing Competition,Quiz competition were organized for school
students. Students also actively participated in Project Exhibition cum competition.
On the second day of “ National Science Day “program started with “ Scientific
Explanation of Miracles ” followed by various competitions like debate, Essay and science
model competition. These competitions brought out the imagination and creativity of
students. The themes for Essay Competition were “How useful of solar energy?”,
Understanding Global warming and its Effects” and” has science removed superstition from
our lives .” The topic of debate was “water conservation”, Machine versus Human being
etc. It highlighted the hard work of the students that they had put throughout the year in
academics as well as co-curricular activities. The Valedictory Ceremony followed by prize
distribution was the highlight of the event. It was organized in the presence of Chief Guest
Dr. Manu Sikarwar, Project officer, , Sh. Kailash Mishra , Curator of science park , SH.
N.L. Meena(I.A.S.), Director, DST and Renuj Joshi, Director GIT. All winners were given
the prize and certificates.
2015-16
Inter Department Essay Writing Competition on “National Identity Elements
of India”
The department of Applied Science, Global institute of Technology conducted an essay writing competition for students on “National Identity Elements of India” on 14th September, 2015.
Indians of all demographics backgrounds across the world are proud of these National Symbols as
they infuse a sense of pride and patriotism in every Indian's heart. This competition was conducted to enhance and encourage the thinking and writing skills of students. The competition also focused on cultivating the spirit of nationality among the students.
The competition was inaugurated by Dr.Renu Joshi, Director, Global institute of Technology at
the venue Seminar Hall (ECE Department) at 9.00AM. The inaugural function was attended by the HODs, faculties and student participants from various departments. After the inaugural function the competition was conducted in Lecture Hall LH-39 & LH-40.
In the inaugural speech, Directorl emphasized on the fact that though we are in an era of
globalization it is important for each citizen of India to have the awareness about their origin and nationality. He also mentioned that this was an ideal topic to think and write about our country’s national elements and factors revolving around it.
Rules and Regulations:
After the inaugural function instructions were given to the participants. The instructions are the following:
The essay should have minimum of 1000 words and should not exceed 3000 words. Essay should be written in English. Co-authorship is not allowed. Duration of essay is 1hr 30mins Decision of the Judges will be final.
The competition commenced at 10AM. There was an active participation of 187 students from various departments.

1st Prize: Rs 1000 2nd Prize: Rs 500
Judgment Criteria:
Below given points were the judgment criteria Maintain word limit in between 1000 to 3000 words. Essay should be written in perfect English language. The essay should stick to the topic. It should cover the following national elements of India,
National Flag. National Bird. National Flower. National Tree. National Anthem. National River. National Aquatic Animal. State Emblem.

Results
According to the judges the essays were of good quality and most of them followed the mentioned rules. The judges were glad that participants were well informed about their country’s identity. Among the best essays top two were selected. The winners are as follows,
