सिेव गुरुः (the teacher, indeed, is goodness/reality)

ज्योदतरेव गुरुमवद्या (a teacher‘s knowledge, indeed, is light)

सि्गुरुः संसृ्कतभाषामुपमदशमत (a good teacher teaches Sanskrit)

सद्गुरुः व्याकरणस्य तमो ऽपहरमत(he dispels the darkness of grammar)

लैप्सिग्नगरस्य सवासै्यव जगतः संसृ्कतगुरुः सदानन्दः(Sadananda is the Sanskrit teacher, in Leipzig and even the whole world)

अमृतं संसृ्कतम् (Sanskrit is immortal)

ततो वयं सवे गायाम (That is, why we all should sing:)

5बृहदारण्यक उपमनषद् १।३।२८

असतो मा सद्गमय

तमसो मा ज्योमतगामय

मृत्योमाामृतं गमय

From the unreal lead me to the real!

From the darkness lead me to the light!

From death lead me to immortality!

१) संसृ्कतभाषा मनत्या भमवष्यमत, अमृताप्सस्त

२) सवाासां भाषाणां लोके वमषाष्ठा एषा भाषाप्सस्त

३) नैव प्सिष्टा न र् कमिना

इमत वदप्सन्

Some people claim

1) that Sanskrit will exist forever, is not mortal

2) that it is the oldest among all languages in the world

3) that it is neither troublesome nor painful

परनु् न सत्यादि तामन त्रीमण वाक्यामन

१) संसृ्कतभाषा युगाने् नमशष्यमत मररष्यमत र्

२) एषा भाषा इतराभ्यः भाषाभ्यः उदभवत्

३) संसृ्कतम् अतीव प्सिष्टम् अतीव र् कमिनम्

इमत

१) सृमष्टमवलयमवदः

२) भाषाशाप्सिणः

३) सवे मशष्याः

अवगच्छप्सन् जानप्सन् र्

But these claims are not true:

1) at this eon‘s end, Sanskrit will perish

and die (as is obvious from creation

and dissolution of the universe),

2) Sanskrit developed from other

languages (as language experts know),

and

3) Sanskrit is very difficult (as students

experience)

इतं्थ संसृ्कतभाषया अनेकाः

न केवलं सत्यवर्नम् वदप्सन्

ते प्राय अनृतामन असत्यादि वाक्यामन वदप्सन्

मिक्तानसु्त

Thus, when using the Sanskrit language, some people

do not only speak the truth,

but oftentimes make false and unreal assertions.

बदतु संसृ्कतम् सत्यमेव जयते

सत्यमेव यत्

१) संसृ्कतज्योदतर् मनतं्य भमवष्यमत, न कदामर्द् दियते

२) सवाासां भाषाणां मिुरतमं संसृ्कतम् अप्सस्त

३) यतः सिािन्दुः सि्गुरर् अप्सस्त

ततः संसृ्कतभाषांआिने्दि पिामः

ततश्च संसृ्कतभाषा नैव प्सिष्टा न र् कमिनाThis is the truth:

1) the brilliance of Sanskrit will exist forever,

2) among all languages in the world Sanskrit is the most pleasing

3) since Sadananda is the good teacher,

we learn Sanskrit with joy and

Sanskrit is neither troublesome nor painful
