PLEASE, NO PEANUTS OR TREE NUTS

Multiple students in our district have life-threateningpeanut/tree nut allergies. This is a major health concern, andwe take this seriously. Student safety is top priority. A childwith a severe food allergy can have a reaction from eating, touching or smelling peanuts/tree nuts. Therefore, we needyour help in keeping our students safe and part of that is ensuring safe schools.● please do not send any peanuts, tree nuts, peanut butter, nut

butters or foods containing these items to be eaten assnacks to school. Having peanut/tree nut free foods in theschools prevents contact exposure from surfaces.

● parents/guardians who will send a lunch from home fortheir child are free to pack the foods of their choice. It isour hope that families CHooSe not to send foods contain-ing peanut butter or tree nuts.

● Teach your child the importance of not sharing food orutensils.

● Teach your child the importance of washing their handswith soap and water before leaving home, upon enteringthe classroom and after eating. Water alone and hand sanitizers do not remove peanut residue.

● Celebrations are fun for students, but can be scary for students with food allergies. please consider nonfood itemsfor celebrations.

We trust you understand how significant this is and the needto adhere strictly to the guidelines. Thank you for your helpin keeping our students safe. If you have any questions regarding food allergies, please contact Jen burgos (DistrictNurse). please see the school nurse website for safe foodchoices.

CELEBRATING 51 YEARS OF MUSICALTHEATRE AT AITKINHIGH SCHOOL!

Save the dates for the 2020 Musical!

THE MUSIC MAN ATAITKIN HIGH SCHOOL

There’s trouble in River City! When smooth-talkingcon man Harold Hill arrives in a small, tight-knit townin Iowa, he expects to dupe its residents with his elabo-rate money-making scheme: Despite his complete lackof musical literacy, he will convince everyone that he isa brilliant bandleader and recruit all the boys in town toform a band, pocketing the cash for instruments anduniforms. The problem? Some of the town members, especially the stern librarian, Marian paroo, don’t quitebuy Harold’s story. As Harold struggles to keep hisscheme afloat, he also finds himself increasingly at-tached to the townspeople, who have all experienced apositive change since Harold came to town. Complicat-ing matters even more, Harold is also falling head-over-heels for the beautiful Marian. As All-American asapple pie and as charming as can be, The Music Man isa crowd-pleasing show!
