Everyone is encouraged to nurture their spiritual journey through a variety of extra

prayers & activities. You can do anything for 9 days!

Some suggestions at an individual level

includes:

1. Pray a Morning Rosary (get up 15

minutes earlier than normal)

2. Pray Daily the Pentecost Jubilation 2019

3. At 12 noon reflect on the Seven Sorrows of Mary

4. At 3pm Pray the Devine Mercy Chaplet

(set an alarm on cell phone)

5. At 7pm Pray the Pentecost Jubilation Novena

6. Community Action: Attend Parish/Diocese Events

7. Solidarity Action: Wear Pentecost Jubilation lapel pin

8. Solidarity Action: Burn Pentecost Jubilation candle

during prayers

9. Solidarity Action: Purchase Seminarian

Sponsorship Ad

10. Spiritual Healing: Attend the Sacrament of

Reconciliation

11. The Source & Summit of all Spiritual Nutrition:

Attend Daily Mass

12. Mortification Actions such as Fasting & Abstinence

Cook needed. Religious Retreat Center is looking for a part time employee to work primarily

weekends, (Friday - afternoons and evenings, Saturday - mornings, noon and evenings and

Sunday- mornings and noon).

Candidates will be responsible for: Candidate requirements:

- Planning meals for approximately 10-30 people - Resume

- Assist with ordering of food - Experience as a cook

- Prepare and serve meals - Ability to pass standard drug

- Typical cleaning responsibilities screening and background checks

Welcome to our Seminarian Jose Perez! Biographical Sketch My full name: Jose Rolando Perez Birthday: October 8th. I am currently in seminary formation at Holy Trinity Semi-

nary in Irving TX. I am originally from Mexico, but lived in Memphis for the last fifteen years. Although I have always de-

sired happiness, goodness, beauty, and truth, as a teen, I did not think I could have those things in the Catholic Church. So, detached from the Faith

for a while. Eventually, amid a secular culture, I found myself tired, isolated, unfulfilled

and in need of a solid foundation. All of that allowed for a turning point in my life. My desires could not be fulfilled by having, but by living out what I now live; a person-

al relationship with Jesus Christ and the joyful surrender to his will for me. Before en-

tering seminary, I was a youth minister for a few years at St. Michael parish in Mem-phis while discerning and “somewhat wrestling” the call to priesthood. Now after

three years into seminary formation now, I am beyond grateful for

God’s faithfulness and grace re-affirming the invitation to follow Him.
