PC SPECIFICATION FOR MONICABy: Angelica Johnson

Overview

After sitting down with Monica and helping her access her user requirements,

you will find enclosed are my suggestions that I effectively and efficiently allow her to

get the most use of her computer time. I would categorize Monica as a Home User.

This user demonstrates large internet consumptions that include research, taking

classes, paying bills, shopping, web access, listening and downing music and videos,

not to exclude watching movies, as well personal financial management, web/video

chatting and emailing. In addition to the classic home user examples mentioned above,

Monica is looking to perform creative and editing features in video, pictures and music.

Although her software requirements are somewhat basic in need, I have advised

Monica that my suggestions are a standard above the basic requirements to allow her

room to expand her application and knowledge base. I also have advised her that the

processor speed should be at 2.8 gigahertz with eight gigabytes of Ram, allowing

quicker movement amongst saving data, internet surfing and switching between

applications. Since she plans to perform creating and editing music, videos and

pictures, I suggested a 1 Terabyte hard drive to handle her requirements. All software

suggested are based on top software used in her requirements, my personal usage of

the software, and if they are user friendly.

In closing, based on Monica’s user requirements and my suggestions, the total

cost to purchase the personal computer, external devices needed, other devices,

software and extended warranty will run Monica about $3,445.
