Eucharistic Ministers Needed
Have you thought about volunteering for a ministry at La Purísima Concepción Parish? Now is the chance! Become a Eucharistic Minister. This is a beautiful and rewarding experience.
A training session will be held on Friday, September 25th at 6 p.m. in the church. Any baptized and confirmed Catholic who has also received their First Communion and is living a life befitting the role is qualified to serve in this beautiful and rewarding ministry. Please do not think you are not worthy - none of us are - but the Lord has called us all to work in His fields and bringing His precious Son to the people of God is a wonderful way to answer the call.
Any questions or concerns, please call JoAnne Crofut (733-4396) or Louise Deveny (588-0506). We will be happy to answer them.

Human trafficking and technology Teenagers spend a lot of time online, making them prime targets for human traffickers. Using online ads that promise money and adventure in exciting, glamorous cities, traffickers attract young women and girls. Parents should be aware of the serious dangers online, and monitor what their children are doing—what sites they visit, social networks they may belong to, and who they are connecting with online. La Purísima Concepción Parish SHINE Retreat September 25, 26, & 27, 2015
The SHINE Retreat provides the opportunity to establish and rekindle a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and bond with other Catholics from our parish. The success of this retreat for the past 22 years is because it is Christ and heart centered. It consists of a series of presentations provided by our pastor Fr. Tom, Deacon Rich, and parishioners with small group discussions. It takes place in our Parish Hall, you go home at night and meals are provided. There is no cost for the retreat. You only need to bring a willingness to be open to Jesus and to each other. Brochures with registration forms are in the vestibule and Pastoral Center or go to our website Lapurisima.org/shine and click on "Shine sign up form". Please turn in forms to Pastoral Center by September 14th. Any questions? Please contact Deacon Rich Stalder at 819-1380 or 733-2533.
