    Classes of Nouns

    0 A common noun does not name a particular person,

    place, thing, or idea (general). Common nouns are not

    capitalized.

    because it must match with the verb and pronouns

    used in a sentence.

    Gender of a Noun

    0 Gender indicates whether a noun is masculine,

    feminine, neuter, or indefinite.

    0 Feminine: aunt, sister, women, cow, hen, filly

    0 Neuter (without gender): tree, cobweb, garage, closet
