May 1572, for the sum of FFFFour hundred pounds. HHHHe also purchased the MMMManor of

LLLLawkland along with LLLLawkland HHHHall and its Appurtenances from PPPPeter YYYYork of MMMMiddlesmore Esquire, in

1574, for the sum of FFFFour hundred and twenty pounds. HHHHe was LLLLord of the MMMManor of HHHHutton RRRRudby.

SSSShe was married thirdly to JJJJohn IIIIngilby, Esquire.

HHHHe married secondly ALICEALICEALICEALICE, sister to SSSSir TTTThomas LLLLayton, KKKKnight of NNNNewsham and

widow of LLLLeonard CCCCoignievs son of WWWWilliam CCCCoignevs. BBBBut by her had no issue.

HHHHis WWWWill is dated 15th December 1608. HHHHe was buried at HHHHutton RRRRudby on the 17th

January 1610-11.

SSSShireburn of SSSStonihurst EEEEsq, and of IIIIsabel his wife, daughter to JJJJohn IIIIngleby of

LLLLawkeland EEEEsq (by MMMMargaret his daughter and heir in blood to NNNNicholas TTTTownley of RRRRoyle in the CCCCounty

of LLLLancaster, EEEEsq and likewise heir to IIIIsabel, wife to the said NNNNicholas TTTTownley, daughter and sole heir

HHHHer WWWWill is dated 10th August 1663. SSSShe was buried at CCCClapham on 19th November 1667.

HHHHe died intestate and was buried at CCCClapham, having died on the 28th of November 1648.

at LLLLawkland HHHHall. He was baptized on the 28th September 1642 at

CCCClapham. He married ANNE ANNE ANNE ANNE sister of JJJJoseph PPPProcter of LLLLeeds, 7 December

1676. He was then 32 years old and of LLLLeeds. SSSShe was born 1651 of LLLLeeds or

WWWWakefield. SSSShe was buried on the 25th May 1737 at CCCClapham ~ ‘JJJJoseph oseph oseph oseph ProcterProcterProcterProcter ejus frater jurat fuit’ejus frater jurat fuit’ejus frater jurat fuit’ejus frater jurat fuit’ He was

a Cloth-worker. In the depositions of York Castle is the following: - “Columbus Ingleby, Gent. for MMMMurder

August 4th, 1662, an inquest on BBBBrian RRRRedman of IIIIngleton. OOOOn August 2nd CCCColumbus IIIInglebie of LLLLawkland

HHHHall, GGGGent. shot him with a pistol. WWWWe have no account of this affair. MMMMr. IIIIngleby was tried and acquitted.”

He was married on 9th December 1676 at LLLLeeds PPPParish CCCChurch. He was LLLLord of the MMMManor of LLLLawkland

and TTTThorpe and WWWWycliffe.

HHHHe was buried at CCCClapham on the 15th of May 1716.

CCCCatholic, he was involved, in February 1680 on a charge of being concerned with SSSSir TTTThomas GGGGascoign in a

plot against the KKKKing and committed to the KKKKing’s BBBBench prison; but on his trial at YYYYork in the following

July he was acquitted as SSSSir TTTThomas had been before. AAAAfter the accession of JJJJames II, he was constituted,

on the 23rd of April 1686, a BBBBaron of the IIIIrish EEEExchequer, but declining to go to that country he was in May
