    PREFACE

The need to have a Directory of all Stakeholders in Education and Gender in

Education was being felt for a long time. Information was available, but in bitsand pieces and at different locations. In order to facilitate general public at

large, the corporate sector, civil society, government organizations, private

sector and all those interested in education, it was imperative to bring all

Stakeholders under one umbrella. The School Education Department in

tandem with UNICEF took the initiative to take this work in hand. Resultantly,

this Directory which encompasses the Governmental, Non Governmental and

International Stakeholders in Education has been compiled. The Stakeholders

    addressed are endorsed below:

Provincial & District School Education Departments and Officials Government Institutions and its Attached Departments District Coordination Officers NGOs working on education particularly on gender in education Universities and Colleges, (Government) International Non-Government Organizations Textbook Board & Curriculum Developers Standing Committee of Parliamentarians on Education Journalists / Reporters related to Education

I sincerely hope that this effort will assist and benefit all those looking for the

    requisite information.

we would also extend our thanks to NGOs listed in the directory for their

Mrs. Rubina Bashir and Coordinator Asmat Rasheed for their assistance and

support in the compilation of this directory. Without which it would not have

been possible for me to complete this assignment in such a short period of
