    DORAL LEGACY PARK

    MORGAN LEVY PARK SYNTHETIC TURF

Located at NW 82nd Street and 114th

Avenue, the future Doral Legacy Park is

conceived as a place in which the community

can gather to enjoy sports, cultural arts, and

nature in a safe environment that is

representative of the beautiful City of Doral.

The park will encompass 18+ acres in the

section 7 area of Doral. Clearing of the park

site began on April 2, 2015 and as of October

17, 2015 the vertical construction was

underway. The park is estimated to be

completed in the Summer of 2016.

The City of Doral is working on the conceptual design for a proposed aquatic facility along with

the cost estimates, which was approved by the Mayor and Council. The City hosted a

community workshop on March 16, 2016 at 6:30pm in the Morgan Levy Park Community Center

located at 5300 NW 102nd Avenue. The City Council held a workshop on April 5, 2016 to finalize

the conceptual, estimated construction, and operational and revenue costs. The Final Revised

Conceptual will be considered at the May Council Meeting.

This project consists of the removal of the current synthetic turf fields at Morgan Levy Park which are over 8 years old followed by drainage work and the installation of new synthetic turf fields. The new synthetic turf fields will feature slit film fibers which have a proven track record of durability. The project is estimated to take 10-12 weeks to completed once the removal process of the old turf has begun.
