“Greetings from Gail”

It is the Sunday after the Aurora shootings and I have a heavy heart. This has been a summer to remember; triple digit temps, horrific wild fires, hail and a scorched earth. Who has not asked, “What’s going on?”

As I welcome you all back, I am thinking about the importance of community and the support of others during difficult times. We will go on, because we are fortunate to have the support of the PNC community with us. Remember to celebrate life because our time here is limited. Take the time to tell a friend you love them, take the time to kiss your kids, and take the time to take time for yourself.

WELCOME BACK New Comers and friends! We have a wonderful year planned and lots to look forward to. Our activities during the summer were well attended and lots of fun. Our new membership directory has arrived with information abounding. Please remem-ber to update it as we move through the 2012-13 year as we will not be publishing again until 2014.

PNC membership is 177 members! The 2012-2013 PNC directory should be available by the time you receive your newsletter or shortly thereafter. I will try my best to distribute them dur-ing the month of September. If you are a CHAIRPERSON of an activity PLEASE check your book to see if someone who is partici-pating on a continuing basis is a PNC member. Also, when a new member joins it would be to your advantage to at least put her name/phone #/e-mail in your book in case you need it during the year.
