QUIET TIME
Quiet Time is important to Jesus. He heals the sick all day and night and he needs
me by himself alone to think, to contemplate, to pray, to commune with God. And in
the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out and departed into a
solitary place and there prayed.
Jesus relishes this me by
himself with God. It is a
valued, necessary, nourishing
me for Jesus. Jesus replenishes
his spirit so that he is energized
and ready to lead his apostles on
to the next town. He is ready to
go to the synagogues and speak
with the authority of God. He is
ready to heal the sick, to drive
our spirits, to raise the dead, to teach the people, to feed the souls and the bodies of
the people. . . . .AND WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM JESUS TODAY? WE LEARN THAT
QUIET TIME IS IMPORTANT FOR EACH OF US. It is good to find me to be alone with
God. . .to commune with God. It is important that we find quiet me for reflecon,
for talking with God, for guidance of our footsteps, for seeking peace. Jesus loves the
early morning. Jesus loves the solitary place. Jesus loves spending me with God,
praying in the early morning in a solitary place. QUIET TIME! MY TIME. . .MY TIME
WITH GOD! Thank you, Jesus, for loving me. Thank you, God, for loving me. Thank
you, Holy Spirit, for loving me and for filling my cup with love. Amen ~Jean Gunn

4 “I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and aer that have nothing
more that they can do. 5
But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, aer he has killed,
has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two
pennies?[b]
And not one of them is forgo$en before God. 7
Why, even the hairs of your head
are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12 ESV

8 The L is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever.
10 He does not deal with
us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniqui!es. 11
For as high as the
heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; 12
as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. 13
As a father shows compassion to his children, so the L shows compassion to those
who fear him. 14
For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. Psalm 103
