PARISH REGISTRATION: Welcome all new families and individuals.
Membership is a condition for the reception of the Sacraments of
Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion at St. Benedict, and for the
parish to issue a sponsorship certificate for those asked to be sacramental
sponsors. You must be a registered, contributing member for at least three
(3) months before a certificate will be given.
Registration forms are available in the Parish Office.
SACRAMENT OF THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK: If you are
seriously ill, going in for surgery or weak from old age, you may receive
the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. Please contact Fr. Duong if you
desire to receive this sacrament.
HOSPITAL & NURSING HOME & SHUT-IN VISITS: If you or any
members of your family are sick and in the hospital or a nursing home,
and you’d like Communion brought to them, please call the Parish Office.
FAITH FORMATION: All classes from Pre-K to High School are on
Sundays from 9:30-10:30am in the Parish Hall. For more information
call Lynne McGrath.
RCIA: Please call the Parish Office for more information.
MARRIAGES: Arrangements must be made with a priest/deacon at least
six (6) months in advance. Call the Parish Office for more information.

DSA SUPPORT APPEAL 2017 We are now ten weeks into the
Diocesan Support Appeal campaign, and as of today 53 of our parish
families have contributed. We need each of you to help us reach our goal
of $24,484.00.
ST. BENEDICT DECAL This Sunday, after Mass the Confirmation class
will be selling St. Benedict Decals outside the church. The minimum cost is $5
for one or two for $9, donations are appreciated. Proceeds will go to help fund
for the restoration of the church.
SECOND COLLECTION There will be a second collection today for the Seminary and Priest’s
Continuing Education. Thank you for your generosity in supporting our Priests and Seminarians.
DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY: The Second Sunday of Easter is dedicated as the Divine Mercy
Sunday. On that day, we reflect on God’s love for us and the whole world. We are called to
respond to his love. On April 23rd
at 2:30PM we will have Divine Mercy Liturgy with Adoration,
Divine Mercy Chaplet, and Benediction. Let us come to pray and give thanks for the gift of God’s
love for us.
BIBLE STUDY Will not meet on Tuesday, April 18th. Bible Study will resume on April 25th.

TROUBLED YOUTH OF GUILFORD COUNTY Douglas Logan has served Guilford
County for 26 years as the Director of Court Alternatives/Juvenile Detention. He earned a BS
degree in Psychology and Human Service from Elon University in 1989. Mr. Logan will be
accompanied by a female representative who will speak to the issues of young women in
detention. Held at the Franciscan Center, 233 North Greene Street, GSO on April 27th, from 12:00
- 1:00 p.m. The cost is $5.00 per person (includes lunch at 11:45 a.m.) Please pre-register by

SEMINARIAN DINNER. Piedmont Council of the Knights of Columbus is hosting a
Seminarian dinner and raffle on Saturday, May 6, at 6:30 PM at the Knights Club, 2780 Horse
Pen Creek Road, to help our seminarians meet expenses while attending the seminary other than
tuition and room and board. Tickets for the dinner costing $12.00 will be sold after the Masses

CALLING ALL GOLFERS! Enjoy a glorious spring day at Greensboro National Golf Club
while supporting a wonderful cause! The Amy Elizabeth Disney Memorial Golf Tournament will
