“Business” End of Holy Trinity A Gentle, Respectful Reminder

As the Summer hits its stride many parishioners go away on vacation and it might be good to remind yourselves that your parish depends on your sustained, voluntary donations. We currently have 86 envelope users and 165 WeShare online users – which represents only about ¼ of those who attend Sunday Mass. Naturally, as you know, we have to meet and manage our weekly expenses which continue throughout the summer, even as attendance dwindles. Soooooo, we’d like to encourage more parish-ioners to sign up for weekly/monthly envelopes, or to register with our online giving service, WeShare. 1. To sign up for WeShare, please visit our website: www.htcny.org and click the “Donate online” link. 2. To sign up for our envelope service, contact us at the rectory, 212-787-0634. Tara W. Dahill, Bookkeeper Catherine Jestice, Secretary Holy Trinity Church, 213 West 82nd Street New York, NY 10024

Our Capital Campaign Project? We are pleased to announce that, after careful review: (1) the Archdiocese has granted approval for our project. (2) our Project Manager, Dave Minervini, and our team of engineers (C&F Consulting Engineering, PC) have submitted the plans to New York City for approval and permitting. (3) upon approval and reception of permits, we will be able to announce a start date. We thank you once again for your tremendous generosity during the Renew + Rebuild Campaign and especially for your continued steward-ship in honoring your pledges. Your faithfulness allows us to move forward, boldly, and begin this exciting project. Thank you!

+ Holy Trinity – 10 Years Ago +

“from the archives!” ~ NOTICE ~ Last Sunday’s bulletin contained a notice of a concert and party On April 27th. While it uses a “birthday” as a reason, it is really a party – song, stories, comestibles, and potables. As an octogenarian, my needs are few. Mainly in the Medicare category, and so there are to be NO gifts. Your sharing in the life of the Parish is more than I deserve. Come, full-hearted and empty-handed! My name is Thomas Leonard and I approve of this message! (4/06/08) And from 20 Years Ago … NOTE: 1998 was the year of Holy Trinity’s Centennial Bienvenido, Father Roa While late in doing it formally, we welcome Father Mizael Roa to the Parish of Holy Trinity. Fr. Roa is a priest of the diocese of Ciudad Guayana in Venezuela and has come to New York with the permission of his Bishop for three years. Ordained eleven years, he spent a year in the Cathedral of his diocese. For the past ten years, he has been a member of the Faculty at Universidad Javierana in Columbia. Assigned here, Fr. Roa will assist, also in the Northeast Pastoral Center. Presently studying English, we will determine the days he will be present in the Rectory for counseling and appointments. Welcome! (2/15/98) [Many will recall that Fr. Roa, very beloved, returned to Holy Trinity for a second “tour of duty.” Most of the bulletin pieces in Spanish are reprints from Fr. Roa.]

* * * * * * * *

Bienvenido de Nuevo, Padre Father D’Angelo Jimenez returns today from his June, Ecuadorian vacation to once again minister to our Spanish-speaking parishioners (Cominidad Latina.) Our Madrid priest-friend, who comes every year to assist us with summertime pastoral care, will depart for home on July 12th. Gracias, padre!
