Why are we starting a 1:1 laptop program?

Our children are digital natives.

They grew up with technology.

It’s an integral part of their lives.

Laptop Basic Information Leased—no cost to parents Only cost will be the laptop bag Students will take them home every night

and weekend Must be charged at home Returned at the end of May

Laptop User Agreement Student is responsible for backing up files Family is responsible for cost of

replacement if laptop lost or stolen Family responsible for cost of damage due

to student misuse or negligence Warranty covers manufacturer’s defects Student will follow Standards of Proper

Security New locks on student lockers Students will keep them in eye

contact or in their lockers at school. Take them home every night and

weekend.

Anti-Theft Software Each computer will have anti-theft software

installed. Laptops can be tracked. Missing laptops must be reported

immediately. Police will be notified and track the laptop.
