Dear Parents,

Another week has raced by and the October break is now upon us! Please read on the learnabout what’s happening at school from Tuesday, November 3rd - Friday, November 6th.

Filipiniana Thank you! Today we celebrated our host culture with a lively Filipiniana celebra on. The event kicked -owith a parade around school that culminated in the FAT. Middle School students from the band,strings, dance and choir programs all performed as part of the formal presenta on and their per-formances were impeccable. A er sampling tasty treats at the Barrio Fiesta, students par cipat-ed in several rota ng ac vi es. Thank you to all parents who o ered their support and helpedmake this event memorable.

Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Tes ng: Parents will receive their child’s MAP Student Progress Report on Friday, November 6th. Thisreport will be sent home in a sealed envelope and provides a summary of your child’s results forMath, Reading and Language usage for the Fall tes ng season 2015 (October). Please be on thelook -out for this important report. If you have any ques ons stemming from this report, pleasefeel free to contact your child’s Math or English teacher.

Yearbook Photographs:

Our o cial school photographer, Tino Ley, will be on campus the week of November 9th to takestudent photos for the ISM Yearbook and individual photo packages. The individual photo pack-ages will be delivered to students in January a er the three week vaca on.

The Yearbook photo shoot will take place in Room 1124 - this is the classroom behind theAMR. Students will have their photos taken during their Modern Language, EAP or SI instruc on-al blocks. Please make sure uniforms are clean each day and that you send a comb or a hairbrushso students look their best in the photos!

Photo order forms and other related payment informa on has already been sent home. Pleaseremember that your child needs to hand in the photo order form directly to the photographerduring his/her scheduled photo shoot. Please remind your child to ask for a receipt.

October Break: Please remember that there is no school for students and faculty from Monday, October 26th - Monday, November 2nd. During the break the MS O ce will be fully sta ed if you have anyques ons.

Classes resume on Tuesday, November 3rd. Please make sure your child has a res ul sleep onMonday night so they are ready for school the next day.

We would like to take the opportunity to wish everyone a wonderful October break. Whetheryou are staying at home or travel ling further a eld, we hope you enjoy the me with your familyand have fun!

Season 2 tryouts for MS/HS teams concluded thisweek and now teams have now been se led and willbe ready to get into full training. Well done to allplayers who have made our teams for season 2. RIFA ES/MS soccer fes val nals: Well done to all ourES soccer teams and MS girls soccer teams who par-

cipated in the fes val nals last Saturday, despitethe windy and showery weather from the typhoon.Results - Coach Popoy and Roxy's E1/E2 teams placed

2nd and 4th in the plate division. Coach Mike andAaron's G1/G2 teams placed 3rd in the cup and 3rd inthe plate division. For our MS girls fes val teamsCoach Kleng and Emily's teams placed 1st and 3rd inthe plate division. Please note* The C1 team of CoachEric will play their fes val nals on Sun Nov 15th at8am at Bri sh School. This is the newly scheduleddate due to the typhoon cancella on that occurredon Oct 18th.

4:45pm. In order to clear the campus prior to 5pm alla er school programs will conclude by 4:50pm orearlier. The last bus is4:55pm this is due to the everincreasing tra c concerns in our area.
