Background Checks now available.ParaNexus is now offering a background

check service to members and non-members. Getting a background check on your prospective team members to

make sure they are free of criminal backgrounds including theft and sex of-

fenses goes a long way in reassuring your clients that you conduct safe and professional investigations. It makes

sense to check all members annually as well.

Our background checks include inmate records, arrest re-cords, court records, sex offender records, civil records, and more. All information is within the public record, but held in confidence by ParaNexus. We do not reveal who requests background checks nor the subjects involved.

Member Price: $5.00 each; Non-member Price: $10.00 each.

You will receive the results within 48 hours.

You can order background checks in the ParaNexus Store.Visit

An article you might find interesting:

CLairvoyantBy definition the word “clairvoyance,” translated once again from French, means “clear-sighted.” It is an ability to see that which is not normally visible to the physical world through the use of “the third eye.” And it is thought in many circles, to be a gift that we all possess, our “sixth sense” if you will. For some it awakens at a moment’s notice, for others it never does. History is riddled with many a scrupulous villain that would have paid a great price to have acquired this spiritual insight, while at the same time there are those that would pay a great price to have you take it from them. But more often than not, those that do possess this “gift” do not reveal it to others for the fear of being ridiculed. Not even to their closest family and friends.

Wishing you the happiest of birthdays from

ParaNexus!

Everyone is psychic to some degree, and really successful paranor-mal investigators even if they do not realize it are using their own psychic

ability to sense the environment.~Rosemary Ellen Guiley

Can we quote you on that?

bliNd people dreamPeople who became blind after birth can see images in their dreams. People who are born blind do not see any images, but have dreams equally vivid involving their other senses of sound, smell, touch and emotion.

Just a Few Benefits of Membership...access to the entire ForuM including Posting PriVileges

The public and non-members are only able to view six forums while members can see over 40. The forum is a place that offers many opportunities for members. For example, the forum is a non-public place to posit theories and hypotheses for developmental feedback prior to publish-ing. It is a place to connect and network with other investigators and make new friends. It is a place to teach as well as to broaden your knowledge and contribute to the paranormal field.

On the other hand, we also appreciate that people are busy, and some folks don’t feel comfort-able in posting. We warmly invite you to feel at ease in posting as we don’t allow “flame wars” or any kind of personal attacks on others. You can feel at ease to post your perspectives with-out being attacked.

We encourage all members (and remind staff members) to participate actively in the forums remembering that we all learn from each other. It is a great place to get involved on a deeper level with ParaNexus. One of the things we look for in future staff members is how visible and involved the person is in the forums. Therefore, if you are interested in becoming a staff mem-ber in the future, use the forum as a platform in letting everyone get to know you.

The forum is yet another benefit to being a ParaNexus member!

web sPace For Your anoMalous research website

ParaNexus believes in education, therefore, every member has the option of hosting their anomalous research websites on our servers at no additional cost! This single benefit can save you money over the course of a year. Member web hosting is also the real thing; it is not ad supported. It is the same type of hosting you would get from any reputable hosting service, ex-cept that we don’t have hundreds of accounts sharing our server. Fewer accounts mean better performance for you.

Not a seasoned webmaster? No problem! We also provide RV Site Builder to help you create your own site. You can also use any other HTML editor such as FrontPage, DreamWeaver, Serif WebPlus (free), and others.

Don’t have a domain name? No problem! You can easily register or transfer your domains to our registrar for $12.95 per year. And you don’t have to move your existing domain to use our service. You will just need to point the nameservers to ours (more info available in the Knowl-edgebase).

Member web hosting truly makes being a ParaNexus member value-added. No other association offers as many benefits for the amount of dues as ParaNexus. To take advantage of your web space, click on the Members Menu, and go to Member Web hosting or click here: http://www.paranexus.org/index.php?page=169.

For a complete list of web hosting features, see the join page.

We want to see your photographs of ghosts! We’re giving it another week! This week, we are again encouraging members to submit their photos of ghosts! These can be real, unedited photos or you can try to trick us with a doctored image. Photos sub-mitted will be put in the next newsletter and fellow members can guess if your photo is “fact” or “fic-tion.” The reveal will happen the following week when photos will be in the newsletter again with votes beside each image for fact or fiction and of course, we’ll tell you if you guessed right!

E-mail your entry to Jessica at [email protected] with the subject:Fact or Fiction

Please be sure to mention in your email who took the photo and whether or not you’ve added the ghost yourself (don’t worry - I won’t tell!).

Photos must be submitted by Sunday, November 21, 2010.

faCt or fiCtion?

ghost stories: grouP saYs it has debunked ManY local legends

pN’s NicHolas smiTH posTs arTicle by burToN cole from TribToday.com

Dave Karr’s interest in paranormal research - ghost hunting - sprang from more than idle curiosity. He was raised in a haunted house.

“The house I grew up in (in Cham-pion) had doors that opened and

closed by themselves, the TV would turn on and off, we’d hear footsteps. When I was 4, 5 or 6, several times I would go into the room and my sister’s Raggedy Andy doll had his hand up in the air or pointing straight out, and a few seconds later it dropped to his side and stayed there.”
