Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to start off by thanking all the volunteers who worked at the first SIRS 52 luncheon last month (Vicky, Kathie, Denise, Karl, CY and Laverne). The Paradise SIRS voted to have their once a month lunch and our Lodge for the 2015 year. Here is an added note, The SIRS had their second luncheon in February and it went very well. Our lodge signed up 27 new members and hopefully we will be getting some more next month.

I hope everybody is enjoying this nice warm weather, I personally am glad I do not live on the East coast. Brrr ! Speaking of good weather I am looking for a handful of volunteer’s to do the road clean up (adopt a highway) on Clark Road. I am available on Tuesdays and Wednes-days to help out, so if anybody would like to help please call me @ (530)321-7876 leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can. The Lodge really needs to continue our community service obliga-tions and show the town we care.

As everybody knows our lodge is looking for volunteers for a variety of jobs in the lodge, we are always looking for members interested in cooking a meal, kitchen help, bartenders, clean – up inside and out and highway cleanup. If you are interested in volunteering contact any of your officers. Thanks for your support!

FYI, we have a new member that has started cleaning the outside grounds weekly, his name is Bill McNelley. He could use some help, so if you have a couple of hours a week to help out that would be great. His contact information is in the monthly newsletter under yard maintenance.

To conclude with, Officer Elections are right around the corner, and we are still looking for brothers to fill the open positions. If you are inter-ested please contact any of the present officers. Thanks again and have a great month.

Fraternally, Greg Amador, Jr. Governor

Fraternally, Kathy Senior Regent Pro Tem

Hello to Everyone! I just want to say, that I love the spring flowers and buds blooming already. The daffodils and fruit trees are just delightful this time a year. Yes, very early, but I do not mind at all looking at their beauty.

I have to send out a very special Thank You to Ray Jean Goodwin, who help me with Mary Byfield's reception at our lodge on the 7th of Feb. I could not of done it without her help and wisdom; and I must thank Bill for also keep-ing the bar up and running, and making a yummy meatloaf for the reception.

SAVE THESE DATES: Fun meals and events are in the making!

March 6th, Vicky and Tammy are Cooking up a Chicken Enchilada Din-ner (rice, salad and all the fixin's) $8.00 and will need reservations - call Tammy @ 530-228-1745.

March 13th the LOOM are cooking a Corn Beef and Cabbage dinner - $10.00 per person and RSVP is a must, you can call the Goodwin’s at 873-2670.

The LOOM has also started their Burger Grill back up on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Boy! Are they ever yummy, messy and darn good.

Tickets go on sale March 5th - for the April 11th Fashion Show - you can purchase them in the social quarters or from Kathy Chester and Maryellen Reed. (Remember the cost of the show is only $10.00 and includes a wonderful lunch, and Fashion Show. This year the benefits will go to both Cinderella’s Closet and Paradise Relay for life.)

For the first time ever, I am part of a American Cancer Relay for life team (for a child). Our LOOM have given me the OK to have a purple bucket at the register (for 6 weeks) for donations for this wonderful event. The walk this year is at our high school and is a 24 hour event Starting June 6 and 7th.

Ok ladies, by the time you read this, we would have had our 2nd nominating committee meeting, our 3rd and final meeting is on Sat. March 7th @ 10am. We are now accepting applications in writing (prior to all meetings) for the following positions: Senior Regent, Junior Regent, Recorder and Secretary/Treasurer. I want to thank all the Past Regents, my Board of Officers and Co-workers who have helped these meetings get off to a good start.

Quilters have a new western theme quilt hanging in the dining room behind the register, it is so cute; come on down and buy a raffle ticket, it could be yours.

Administrator’s Message:

Thanks to all of our Lodge and Chapter members who work so hard on all of our various activities. We have great cooks and kitchen helpers, members who keep the lodge and grounds cleaned up, bartenders, those who do community service like Adopt-A-Highway cleanup and many others who mostly work behind the scene.

Our nominating committee meeting will be meeting on March 5. We have already received several letters from members who submitted their names for various offices and could use a few more volunteers. All positions are open. This is a most reward-ing experience and the Lodge needs you.

The next District meeting will be at the Gridley Lodge on March 14. Their dinners are always great along with the fellow-ship of other Moose members. The dinner-meeting is at 5:30PM. The California-Nevada Midwinter Conference is in Reno March 26-29 at the Atlantis Casino Resort. See the notice on the bulletin board.

Pick up a Moose Benefits brochure the next time you are in the Lodge or see it on the Moose International website www.mooseintl.org. Moose Benefits are always being added to save you money in many areas, more than the cost of annual dues. There is also a lot of new information, pictures and videos on this website concerning Mooseheart, Moosehaven Communi-ty Service and more. . The State Association website www.ca-nvmoose.org also has lots of good information. Fraternally Rich Sloane, Administrator

District News The next District Meeting will be at the Gridley Lodge on Saturday March 14, 2015. District Executive Board Meeting is at 4PM, District Meeting and Dinner are at 5:30PM. Dis-trict President Mike Nell presiding.

MOOSE LODGE VETERANS:

If you were in the military between January, 1964 and Dec. 1974, I want your military bio. I'll be going through my Moose veterans list to see who you are. The current list is post-ed on the board as you walk into the lodge. If you're not on the list, phone me or leave your name and phone number at the lodge behind the bar by filling the military info form. Moose veterans from the honored years will receive a free picnic lunch on Memorial Day, May 25th 2015.

NOTE: I will need interviewers to help create the military biographies. If you can volunteer please phone me. I will need about 6 people to assist in this worthwhile venture. Thank you! TOM MARKLE 966-3816

Don’t Forget To Use Your S.H.A.R.E.S. card! Our Lodge gets a 3% donation of total spent every quarter!
