History

SARS demonstrated a national need for better data managementDiscussions began in 2009 significant work done by public health groups

in the province project was halted for a variety of reasons,

including H1N1 initial recommendations and advice being

used by today’s team

What is Panorama?

Panorama is a secure, integrated, web-based electronic public health record designed to assist public health practitioners to manage:

ImmunizationVaccine InventoryCommunicable DiseasesOutbreaks

Why Panorama?Panorama aligns with provincial and RHA priorities and supports….

Improved coordination by connecting care providers and harmonizing processes and standards

Real time surveillance and earlier detection of outbreaks locally, regionally and provincially

Shared management of communicable disease investigations between jurisdictions.

manage communicable diseases

Readiness Surveys

Four different surveys will be conducted to identify: Gaps Training needs

The surveys will target the organization, sponsors, managers and end users.

Summary reports will be produced and shared.

Project Coordinators Role

Project coordinators:

Liaise between Manitoba Health and the project

Facilitate communication Coordinate WRHA involvement in

Panorama activities

Panorama Project Team

The Panorama Project team (including the coordinators) will provide: Change management and communication guidance and
