Panopto is a desktop lecture capture software, but now you can go mobile. Record where ever you go with the Panopto mobile app.  

Purpose: Understand how to find, access, and create with the Panopto Android app. The instructions and images that follow are done on an Android tablet using OS 4.4.2. Panopto’s Android mobile app is a viewer only; it cannot record and upload sessions.

This info sheet is divided into 2 sections. 1. Download the app 2. Set up the app

Prerequisites: • Moodle course or Sandbox • Panopto Focus block installed in your Moodle 2.7 course • Android tablet or phone running Android 4.0 or above

1. Download the App

Step 1: Locate the App Store on your iPhone. iPod touch or iPad. Tap once to open (see image below).

Step 2: Once the app store is launched, tap in the Search bar and type Panopto.

Step 3: As Panopto comes up in the search results, tap on Panopto icon. Tap the Install button.

2. Setting Up the Panopto Mobile App

Step 1: From the home screen, tap once on the Panopto app to open (see image right).

Step 2: Tap on the SignIn… link at the top right to set up the app.

Step 3: Type in the following address: louisiana.hosted.panopto.com. Tap OK.

Step 4: Tap on the drop down menu that is labeled Panopto, select Moodle, then tap Done (image right). Tap the Sign In button.

Step 5: After the screen refreshes, log into the Moodle site using your CLID credentials. Tap on Log In button (image below).
