BioFil technology has been recognized by the Ministry of Education as a water treatment technology that is able to overcome water crisis recently faced by the country particularly in Selangor and Lembah Klang. By using this system, organic wastes can be treated through a bio-filtration process which is simple and innovative at minimal operating costs. BioFil system is also capable of treating sewage, various industrial wastes and polluted rivers. With the tremendous impactful solution in water treatment industry in Malaysia, with this achievement, our director, Prof. Dr. Azni has been awarded Vice Chancellor Fellowship Award by UPM and the most outstanding award from Ministry of Education, Anugerah Akademik Negara for 2013.
