Loken, LifeQuest’s Development Director about the inauguralDancing for Dreams event. “We thought it would be an enter-taining evening and the potential to be a good fundraiser even-tually. This was much more than that.”

With over 350 generous people in attendance, Dancing forDreams exceeded all expectations, raising over $56,000 for theorganization.

“We’re so happy,” said Janet Greenway, who co-chaired theevent with husband, Doug. “It was really an amazing evening.We’ve gotten such positivecomments from thedancers and people whoattended.”

After Doug announcedthe total raised, the trophyfor the winning couplewas announced. Lyndonand Jana Overweg raisedover $6,000 for LifeQuestfrom friends, family andothers. Lyndon and Jana,still dressed in their prisonand police officer garb,embraced Janet at centerstage to a standing ova-tion.

Funds raised are slatedto help offset costs atCareer Connections,LifeQuest’s job develop-ment arm, helping peoplewith disabilities find andmaintain communityemployment.

Myths About Planned GiftsThere are many myths associated with planned giving, estate gifts, wills and other vehicles to give significantcontributions to the LifeQuest Foundation and other non-profit organizations.

Myth: You have to be rich to give a planned gift.Fact: Only in spirit! Planned Gifts of only $1,000 are common and are welcome. A planned gift is a personally sacrificialdonation that is made for future use.

Myth: I do not have much – I do not need a will.Fact: Regardless of any gift to the LifeQuest Foundation, we hope that you would draft a will. Proper planning willsignifcantly lessen the time and burden your family will encounter to properly complete your estate wishes.

Myth: You want all of my money after I’m gone!Fact: We’re sure you have family, friends and other entities you want to help. In fact, think of your family first! The LifeQuestFoundation only wants what YOU think you want to provide to the LifeQuest Foundation.

A Night to RememberEvery community needs an event that dazzles

the night and leaves the audience in awe! That iswhat happened on March 22nd, when eight localcelebrity couples took to the dance floor in ashow of their creativity, talents and personalitiesand to raise money for LifeQuest’s SupportedEmployment Program, at the Dancing for DreamsFundraiser.

These eight couples, brought the night to life in an event that will beremembered by all who attended and appreciated by the peoplewhose doors to employment opportunities have been opened throughtheir efforts. The funds raised will help people explore job interests sothat they can find and maintain employment in the community. A jobwhere they can work alongside coworkers and find self-worth in know-ing that they can contribute by being an employee.

These eight couples were supported by the hard work of a volunteersteering committee who put in many hours organizing, planning andmeeting. The event’s success could not have been possible without thecommittee.

I watched as the night unfolded, the dancers making final plans,volunteers and committee members hustling about and the audiencearriving. Excitement was in the air. What I found most amazing, hearttouching, was something I observed from everyone who was a part ofthat night, a willingness to give. It didn’t seem to matter the role theperson played or how connected he/she was to LifeQuest, all whocame shared a common theme, to give, with the belief it will makesomeone else’s life better by doing so.

Thank you to the Dancers, the Committee the Volunteers and theAudience. A special thank you to Doug and Janet Greenway who leadthis effort. It truly was A Night to Remember.

“She enjoyed crossword puzzles and chatting on the phone daily. Kristiloved the band Something New and went almost every time they came tothe Moose Lodge. “Kristi belonged to the Kiwanis Club and also was amember of the Moose Lodge. Kristi came to LifeQuest in 1994 and livedseveral places in Mitchell before moving to the North Kimball House. Ipray that her mother met her when she arrived in heaven.She is now freeof the pain, cancer and all the other health problems she had.”

“I always admired Kristi. She was always very loyal to her family and friends and would take time toconnect with those important to her. She loved talking on the phone, sending cards, or just spendingtime together. She especially liked visiting with her family, and Scooter, the family dog! Kristi wasalmost rhythmic in her routines and in the different things she needed to complete each day! In everyconversation with Kristi, she always shared what plans she had coming up! She always had somethingthat she looked forward to such as church,Kiwanis club,bible study,or spending timewith others. Kristialways had several calendars for each year, so no important date or event would be missed!”

Board ProfileMike Tobin, LifeQuest Board of Directors

There aren’t too many places around Mitchellwhere Mike Tobin is a stranger. He goes to con-certs and sporting events, he works downtownand he’s a fixture at LifeQuest events. Eventhough Mike’s interests reach farther out in thecommunity from LifeQuest, he still serves theorganization as a member of the LifeQuestBoard of Directors since 2014.“I haven’t missed a meeting and have perfect

attendance,” said Tobin,“and I bring my gavel forthe start and finish of the meetings.” The gavelwas a gift from fellow Board member Joe Childs.

Mike has made many new friends and is asinvolved in Board proceedings as any other

member. “I like Renee, Steve, Joe, Melanie – all of them,” said Tobin, who works downtown at ElixirRoasterie every week.

“He always has a nice thing to say about us,or a staff member,”said LifeQuest’s Executive DirectorPam Hanna.“The Board meetings are important to him.And it’s important to us that he’s there.”

As President of Mitchell’s First Dakota National Bank, Trevor Dierks hasseen many non-profit organizations over the years. “What really makesLifeQuest unique,” said Dierks,”is the sheer number of people it impacts.”Dierks, who’s been with the bank since its inception 20 years ago, serves onthe LifeQuest Foundation Board of Directors and is its Board President for the2018-2019 fiscal year.

Trevor and his wife, Julie,have two children (Josie and Dawson.) Trevorknows the importance – and challenge – of attracting and keeping great peo-ple towork at LifeQuest.“That really is the biggest challenge,”said Dierks,whowith his wife, Julie, have two children. “Attracting additional staff and retain-ing the existing people will help LifeQuest thrive.”

He knows the Foundation – and its donors – are important to LifeQuest.“The Foundation really makes an impact on LifeQuest’s budget,” said Dierks.

A specific gift could include a specific dollar amount, number of shares of stock, a piece of propertyor other comparable gift to the LifeQuest Foundation.A percentage gift provides a donation equal to a stated percentage of your total assets. There is noneed to worry about a stated amount, and your donation will increase if the value of your estate does.A remainder gift provides a donation based on a percentage (or stated amount) of your assets afterany specific gifts you wish to make to family, friends or other organizations. This is different than apercentage gift because this gift is made after any stated bequests are made.

Already completed your will?A bequest to the LifeQuest Foundation is as easy as adding a codicil to your will. A codicil is an officialdocument where you can make amendments or changes to your will without the added expense ofre-writing your entire will. Exceeding ExpectationsWe really didn’t know what to expect,” said a surprised Brian

Loken, LifeQuest’s Development Director about the inauguralDancing for Dreams event. “We thought it would be an enter-taining evening and the potential to be a good fundraiser even-tually. This was much more than that.”

With over 350 generous people in attendance, Dancing forDreams exceeded all expectations, raising over $56,000 for theorganization.

“We’re so happy,” said Janet Greenway, who co-chaired theevent with husband, Doug. “It was really an amazing evening.We’ve gotten such positivecomments from thedancers and people whoattended.”

After Doug announcedthe total raised, the trophyfor the winning couplewas announced. Lyndonand Jana Overweg raisedover $6,000 for LifeQuestfrom friends, family andothers. Lyndon and Jana,still dressed in their prisonand police officer garb,embraced Janet at centerstage to a standing ova-tion.

Funds raised are slatedto help offset costs atCareer Connections,LifeQuest’s job develop-ment arm, helping peoplewith disabilities find andmaintain communityemployment.

Myths About Planned GiftsThere are many myths associated with planned giving, estate gifts, wills and other vehicles to give significantcontributions to the LifeQuest Foundation and other non-profit organizations.

Myth: You have to be rich to give a planned gift.Fact: Only in spirit! Planned Gifts of only $1,000 are common and are welcome. A planned gift is a personally sacrificialdonation that is made for future use.

Myth: I do not have much – I do not need a will.Fact: Regardless of any gift to the LifeQuest Foundation, we hope that you would draft a will. Proper planning willsignifcantly lessen the time and burden your family will encounter to properly complete your estate wishes.

Myth: You want all of my money after I’m gone!Fact: We’re sure you have family, friends and other entities you want to help. In fact, think of your family first! The LifeQuestFoundation only wants what YOU think you want to provide to the LifeQuest Foundation.

A Night to RememberEvery community needs an event that dazzles

the night and leaves the audience in awe! That iswhat happened on March 22nd, when eight localcelebrity couples took to the dance floor in ashow of their creativity, talents and personalitiesand to raise money for LifeQuest’s SupportedEmployment Program, at the Dancing for DreamsFundraiser.

These eight couples, brought the night to life in an event that will beremembered by all who attended and appreciated by the peoplewhose doors to employment opportunities have been opened throughtheir efforts. The funds raised will help people explore job interests sothat they can find and maintain employment in the community. A jobwhere they can work alongside coworkers and find self-worth in know-ing that they can contribute by being an employee.

These eight couples were supported by the hard work of a volunteersteering committee who put in many hours organizing, planning andmeeting. The event’s success could not have been possible without thecommittee.

I watched as the night unfolded, the dancers making final plans,volunteers and committee members hustling about and the audiencearriving. Excitement was in the air. What I found most amazing, hearttouching, was something I observed from everyone who was a part ofthat night, a willingness to give. It didn’t seem to matter the role theperson played or how connected he/she was to LifeQuest, all whocame shared a common theme, to give, with the belief it will makesomeone else’s life better by doing so.

Thank you to the Dancers, the Committee the Volunteers and theAudience. A special thank you to Doug and Janet Greenway who leadthis effort. It truly was A Night to Remember.

“She enjoyed crossword puzzles and chatting on the phone daily. Kristiloved the band Something New and went almost every time they came tothe Moose Lodge. “Kristi belonged to the Kiwanis Club and also was amember of the Moose Lodge. Kristi came to LifeQuest in 1994 and livedseveral places in Mitchell before moving to the North Kimball House. Ipray that her mother met her when she arrived in heaven.She is now freeof the pain, cancer and all the other health problems she had.”

“I always admired Kristi. She was always very loyal to her family and friends and would take time toconnect with those important to her. She loved talking on the phone, sending cards, or just spendingtime together. She especially liked visiting with her family, and Scooter, the family dog! Kristi wasalmost rhythmic in her routines and in the different things she needed to complete each day! In everyconversation with Kristi, she always shared what plans she had coming up! She always had somethingthat she looked forward to such as church,Kiwanis club,bible study,or spending timewith others. Kristialways had several calendars for each year, so no important date or event would be missed!”

Board ProfileMike Tobin, LifeQuest Board of Directors

There aren’t too many places around Mitchellwhere Mike Tobin is a stranger. He goes to con-certs and sporting events, he works downtownand he’s a fixture at LifeQuest events. Eventhough Mike’s interests reach farther out in thecommunity from LifeQuest, he still serves theorganization as a member of the LifeQuestBoard of Directors since 2014.“I haven’t missed a meeting and have perfect

attendance,” said Tobin,“and I bring my gavel forthe start and finish of the meetings.” The gavelwas a gift from fellow Board member Joe Childs.

Mike has made many new friends and is asinvolved in Board proceedings as any other

member. “I like Renee, Steve, Joe, Melanie – all of them,” said Tobin, who works downtown at ElixirRoasterie every week.

“He always has a nice thing to say about us,or a staff member,”said LifeQuest’s Executive DirectorPam Hanna.“The Board meetings are important to him.And it’s important to us that he’s there.”

As President of Mitchell’s First Dakota National Bank, Trevor Dierks hasseen many non-profit organizations over the years. “What really makesLifeQuest unique,” said Dierks,”is the sheer number of people it impacts.”Dierks, who’s been with the bank since its inception 20 years ago, serves onthe LifeQuest Foundation Board of Directors and is its Board President for the2018-2019 fiscal year.

Trevor and his wife, Julie,have two children (Josie and Dawson.) Trevorknows the importance – and challenge – of attracting and keeping great peo-ple towork at LifeQuest.“That really is the biggest challenge,”said Dierks,whowith his wife, Julie, have two children. “Attracting additional staff and retain-ing the existing people will help LifeQuest thrive.”

He knows the Foundation – and its donors – are important to LifeQuest.“The Foundation really makes an impact on LifeQuest’s budget,” said Dierks.

Last Will and Testament, called a bequest. Bequests are simple and revocable, meaning that you canchange your gifts at any time.FEATURESBequests are flexible and can be given in a variety of ways:

A specific gift could include a specific dollar amount, number of shares of stock, a piece of propertyor other comparable gift to the LifeQuest Foundation.A percentage gift provides a donation equal to a stated percentage of your total assets. There is noneed to worry about a stated amount, and your donation will increase if the value of your estate does.A remainder gift provides a donation based on a percentage (or stated amount) of your assets afterany specific gifts you wish to make to family, friends or other organizations. This is different than apercentage gift because this gift is made after any stated bequests are made.

Already completed your will?A bequest to the LifeQuest Foundation is as easy as adding a codicil to your will. A codicil is an officialdocument where you can make amendments or changes to your will without the added expense ofre-writing your entire will. The program offers farmers the chance todirect a $2,500 donation to a nonprofit of their choice. It has awarded more than $33 million to over8,000 nonprofits across rural America.

Her culture was important to her and she continued to chant andvocalize in Native American language, even though she was no longer able to dance on her feet. Disabilities handed out two awards in March. TheOutstanding Employer Recognition Award waspresented toMitchell School District.This award is givento a business who has made exceptional contributionsto the lives of people with disabilities and for continuingto recognize abilities over disabilities.

Additionally, an award was presented to JeanethLarsen as she has been an employee with MitchellSchool District since October 2015. She was recognizedsince she continues to make exceptional contributionsto her employer.

Mitchell High School Principal and LifeQuest Board of Directors Vice President was also on hand tohelp celebrate the awards. Congratulations to both Jeaneth and Mitchell School District!

Volunteering is in his blood – he’s spends Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week at theCorn Palace. “We’re putting stickers on the popcorn balls,”Cross said proudly when hewas askedwhat hedoes there. “We do different color popcorn balls each day.”

On Tuesday, when he is not at the Corn Palace, he volunteers at the James Valley Community Center.“I help with setting up Bingo,” said Cross.

He doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.“Nope, too much fun,”Cross said.

Myths About Planned GiftsThere are many myths associated with planned giving, estate gifts, wills and other vehicles to give significantcontributions to the LifeQuest Foundation and other non-profit organizations.

Myth: You have to be rich to give a planned gift.Fact: Only in spirit! Planned Gifts of only $1,000 are common and are welcome. A planned gift is a personally sacrificialdonation that is made for future use.

Myth: I do not have much – I do not need a will.Fact: Regardless of any gift to the LifeQuest Foundation, we hope that you would draft a will. Proper planning willsignifcantly lessen the time and burden your family will encounter to properly complete your estate wishes.

Myth: You want all of my money after I’m gone!Fact: We’re sure you have family, friends and other entities you want to help. In fact, think of your family first! The LifeQuestFoundation only wants what YOU think you want to provide to the LifeQuest Foundation.

A Night to RememberEvery community needs an event that dazzles

the night and leaves the audience in awe! That iswhat happened on March 22nd, when eight localcelebrity couples took to the dance floor in ashow of their creativity, talents and personalitiesand to raise money for LifeQuest’s SupportedEmployment Program, at the Dancing for DreamsFundraiser.

These eight couples, brought the night to life in an event that will beremembered by all who attended and appreciated by the peoplewhose doors to employment opportunities have been opened throughtheir efforts. The funds raised will help people explore job interests sothat they can find and maintain employment in the community. A jobwhere they can work alongside coworkers and find self-worth in know-ing that they can contribute by being an employee.

These eight couples were supported by the hard work of a volunteersteering committee who put in many hours organizing, planning andmeeting. The event’s success could not have been possible without thecommittee.

I watched as the night unfolded, the dancers making final plans,volunteers and committee members hustling about and the audiencearriving. Excitement was in the air. What I found most amazing, hearttouching, was something I observed from everyone who was a part ofthat night, a willingness to give. It didn’t seem to matter the role theperson played or how connected he/she was to LifeQuest, all whocame shared a common theme, to give, with the belief it will makesomeone else’s life better by doing so.

Thank you to the Dancers, the Committee the Volunteers and theAudience. A special thank you to Doug and Janet Greenway who leadthis effort. It truly was A Night to Remember.

Kristiloved the band Something New and went almost every time they came tothe Moose Lodge. “Kristi belonged to the Kiwanis Club and also was amember of the Moose Lodge. Kristi came to LifeQuest in 1994 and livedseveral places in Mitchell before moving to the North Kimball House. Ipray that her mother met her when she arrived in heaven.She is now freeof the pain, cancer and all the other health problems she had.”

Board ProfileMike Tobin, LifeQuest Board of Directors

There aren’t too many places around Mitchellwhere Mike Tobin is a stranger. He goes to con-certs and sporting events, he works downtownand he’s a fixture at LifeQuest events. Eventhough Mike’s interests reach farther out in thecommunity from LifeQuest, he still serves theorganization as a member of the LifeQuestBoard of Directors since 2014.“I haven’t missed a meeting and have perfect

attendance,” said Tobin,“and I bring my gavel forthe start and finish of the meetings.” The gavelwas a gift from fellow Board member Joe Childs.

Mike has made many new friends and is asinvolved in Board proceedings as any other

member. “I like Renee, Steve, Joe, Melanie – all of them,” said Tobin, who works downtown at ElixirRoasterie every week.

“He always has a nice thing to say about us,or a staff member,”said LifeQuest’s Executive DirectorPam Hanna.“The Board meetings are important to him.And it’s important to us that he’s there.”

As President of Mitchell’s First Dakota National Bank, Trevor Dierks hasseen many non-profit organizations over the years. “What really makesLifeQuest unique,” said Dierks,”is the sheer number of people it impacts.”Dierks, who’s been with the bank since its inception 20 years ago, serves onthe LifeQuest Foundation Board of Directors and is its Board President for the2018-2019 fiscal year.

Trevorknows the importance – and challenge – of attracting and keeping great peo-ple towork at LifeQuest.“That really is the biggest challenge,”said Dierks,whowith his wife, Julie, have two children. “Attracting additional staff and retain-ing the existing people will help LifeQuest thrive.”

A specific gift could include a specific dollar amount, number of shares of stock, a piece of propertyor other comparable gift to the LifeQuest Foundation.A percentage gift provides a donation equal to a stated percentage of your total assets. There is noneed to worry about a stated amount, and your donation will increase if the value of your estate does.A remainder gift provides a donation based on a percentage (or stated amount) of your assets afterany specific gifts you wish to make to family, friends or other organizations. Exceeding ExpectationsWe really didn’t know what to expect,” said a surprised Brian

Loken, LifeQuest’s Development Director about the inauguralDancing for Dreams event. “We thought it would be an enter-taining evening and the potential to be a good fundraiser even-tually. This was much more than that.”

With over 350 generous people in attendance, Dancing forDreams exceeded all expectations, raising over $56,000 for theorganization.

“We’re so happy,” said Janet Greenway, who co-chaired theevent with husband, Doug. “It was really an amazing evening.We’ve gotten such positivecomments from thedancers and people whoattended.”

After Doug announcedthe total raised, the trophyfor the winning couplewas announced. Lyndonand Jana Overweg raisedover $6,000 for LifeQuestfrom friends, family andothers. Lyndon and Jana,still dressed in their prisonand police officer garb,embraced Janet at centerstage to a standing ova-tion.

Funds raised are slatedto help offset costs atCareer Connections,LifeQuest’s job develop-ment arm, helping peoplewith disabilities find andmaintain communityemployment.

Myths About Planned GiftsThere are many myths associated with planned giving, estate gifts, wills and other vehicles to give significantcontributions to the LifeQuest Foundation and other non-profit organizations.

Myth: You have to be rich to give a planned gift.Fact: Only in spirit! Planned Gifts of only $1,000 are common and are welcome. A planned gift is a personally sacrificialdonation that is made for future use.

Myth: I do not have much – I do not need a will.Fact: Regardless of any gift to the LifeQuest Foundation, we hope that you would draft a will. Proper planning willsignifcantly lessen the time and burden your family will encounter to properly complete your estate wishes.

Myth: You want all of my money after I’m gone!Fact: We’re sure you have family, friends and other entities you want to help. In fact, think of your family first! The LifeQuestFoundation only wants what YOU think you want to provide to the LifeQuest Foundation.

A Night to RememberEvery community needs an event that dazzles

the night and leaves the audience in awe! That iswhat happened on March 22nd, when eight localcelebrity couples took to the dance floor in ashow of their creativity, talents and personalitiesand to raise money for LifeQuest’s SupportedEmployment Program, at the Dancing for DreamsFundraiser.

These eight couples, brought the night to life in an event that will beremembered by all who attended and appreciated by the peoplewhose doors to employment opportunities have been opened throughtheir efforts. The funds raised will help people explore job interests sothat they can find and maintain employment in the community. A jobwhere they can work alongside coworkers and find self-worth in know-ing that they can contribute by being an employee.

These eight couples were supported by the hard work of a volunteersteering committee who put in many hours organizing, planning andmeeting. The event’s success could not have been possible without thecommittee.

I watched as the night unfolded, the dancers making final plans,volunteers and committee members hustling about and the audiencearriving. Excitement was in the air. What I found most amazing, hearttouching, was something I observed from everyone who was a part ofthat night, a willingness to give. It didn’t seem to matter the role theperson played or how connected he/she was to LifeQuest, all whocame shared a common theme, to give, with the belief it will makesomeone else’s life better by doing so.

Thank you to the Dancers, the Committee the Volunteers and theAudience. A special thank you to Doug and Janet Greenway who leadthis effort. It truly was A Night to Remember.

“She enjoyed crossword puzzles and chatting on the phone daily. Kristiloved the band Something New and went almost every time they came tothe Moose Lodge. “Kristi belonged to the Kiwanis Club and also was amember of the Moose Lodge. Kristi came to LifeQuest in 1994 and livedseveral places in Mitchell before moving to the North Kimball House. Ipray that her mother met her when she arrived in heaven.She is now freeof the pain, cancer and all the other health problems she had.”

“I always admired Kristi. She was always very loyal to her family and friends and would take time toconnect with those important to her. She loved talking on the phone, sending cards, or just spendingtime together. She especially liked visiting with her family, and Scooter, the family dog! Kristi wasalmost rhythmic in her routines and in the different things she needed to complete each day! In everyconversation with Kristi, she always shared what plans she had coming up! She always had somethingthat she looked forward to such as church,Kiwanis club,bible study,or spending timewith others. Kristialways had several calendars for each year, so no important date or event would be missed!”

Board ProfileMike Tobin, LifeQuest Board of Directors

There aren’t too many places around Mitchellwhere Mike Tobin is a stranger. He goes to con-certs and sporting events, he works downtownand he’s a fixture at LifeQuest events. Eventhough Mike’s interests reach farther out in thecommunity from LifeQuest, he still serves theorganization as a member of the LifeQuestBoard of Directors since 2014.“I haven’t missed a meeting and have perfect

attendance,” said Tobin,“and I bring my gavel forthe start and finish of the meetings.” The gavelwas a gift from fellow Board member Joe Childs.

Mike has made many new friends and is asinvolved in Board proceedings as any other

member. “I like Renee, Steve, Joe, Melanie – all of them,” said Tobin, who works downtown at ElixirRoasterie every week.

“He always has a nice thing to say about us,or a staff member,”said LifeQuest’s Executive DirectorPam Hanna.“The Board meetings are important to him.And it’s important to us that he’s there.”

As President of Mitchell’s First Dakota National Bank, Trevor Dierks hasseen many non-profit organizations over the years. “What really makesLifeQuest unique,” said Dierks,”is the sheer number of people it impacts.”Dierks, who’s been with the bank since its inception 20 years ago, serves onthe LifeQuest Foundation Board of Directors and is its Board President for the2018-2019 fiscal year.

Trevor and his wife, Julie,have two children (Josie and Dawson.) Trevorknows the importance – and challenge – of attracting and keeping great peo-ple towork at LifeQuest.“That really is the biggest challenge,”said Dierks,whowith his wife, Julie, have two children. “Attracting additional staff and retain-ing the existing people will help LifeQuest thrive.”

He knows the Foundation – and its donors – are important to LifeQuest.“The Foundation really makes an impact on LifeQuest’s budget,” said Dierks.

Last Will and Testament, called a bequest. Bequests are simple and revocable, meaning that you canchange your gifts at any time.FEATURESBequests are flexible and can be given in a variety of ways:

A specific gift could include a specific dollar amount, number of shares of stock, a piece of propertyor other comparable gift to the LifeQuest Foundation.A percentage gift provides a donation equal to a stated percentage of your total assets. There is noneed to worry about a stated amount, and your donation will increase if the value of your estate does.A remainder gift provides a donation based on a percentage (or stated amount) of your assets afterany specific gifts you wish to make to family, friends or other organizations. This is different than apercentage gift because this gift is made after any stated bequests are made.

Already completed your will?A bequest to the LifeQuest Foundation is as easy as adding a codicil to your will. A codicil is an officialdocument where you can make amendments or changes to your will without the added expense ofre-writing your entire will. Exceeding ExpectationsWe really didn’t know what to expect,” said a surprised Brian

Loken, LifeQuest’s Development Director about the inauguralDancing for Dreams event. “We thought it would be an enter-taining evening and the potential to be a good fundraiser even-tually. This was much more than that.”

With over 350 generous people in attendance, Dancing forDreams exceeded all expectations, raising over $56,000 for theorganization.

“We’re so happy,” said Janet Greenway, who co-chaired theevent with husband, Doug. “It was really an amazing evening.We’ve gotten such positivecomments from thedancers and people whoattended.”

After Doug announcedthe total raised, the trophyfor the winning couplewas announced. Lyndonand Jana Overweg raisedover $6,000 for LifeQuestfrom friends, family andothers. Lyndon and Jana,still dressed in their prisonand police officer garb,embraced Janet at centerstage to a standing ova-tion.

Funds raised are slatedto help offset costs atCareer Connections,LifeQuest’s job develop-ment arm, helping peoplewith disabilities find andmaintain communityemployment.
