•WORDS" Of WISDOM Definitions Lacking I by Neal Meropol THS Students Are Unaware j On Wednesday, September 29, at 2:00, the senior class met at the stadium for the Jnual class picture to be taken. All were seated in an orderly fashion and seven ictures were taken. At this point, attention wasdirected to a student in the stands, oho had decorated his face with white and red make-up. Mrs. Minister, vice principal |r the senior class, directed Mr. Sgro to remove the student from the bleachers. The udent questioned the request, and Mr. Sgro aided by Mrs. Minister, escorted him om the area. I The primary task of anyone concerned with the assistant principal's action was to quire why the masked student was removed from the bleachers. Two major reasons ere given. The first explanation concerned the idea that individualistic expression iould not be allowed in a class picture. Secondly, since no other gestures (i.e. hand aving, obscene gestures, standing up) were permitted during photography of the s, the assistant principal felt obligated to discontinue this student's "gesture." Left-President Ford speaking at a recent rallv in Paramus. Right-Governor Jimmy Carter campaigning in the Nev Jersey Primary, earlier this year. by David Black If students in Teaneck High School were able to vote in the upcoming national elections, most of them would not know who was running until they walked into the voting booth. This conclusion is based upon a recent poll taken in the high school which asked the students three questions: f I Tennis is Golden I by Spencer Leeds j
