A fun filled community event, and fundraiserfor Harvest for Hunger NS, the Old TimeCountry Fair will recreate a nostalgic renditionof days gone by where the focus of the fair ison gathering with family, friends andneighbours while having some good oldfashioned fun and great food of course.
Free admission to Captain Cob’s Corn Mazeand regular attractions, including the popularbouncy pillow, inflatable obstacle course andpirate playground plus there will be manyexciting additions at the Old Time Country Fairwith a fee per use.
Try your luck in the mini-midway to win a prize,kids will enjoy pony rides and face paintingwith lots of fun foods including fresh boiledcorn, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy andmore!
Daytime entertainment will be provided by thepopular band - Nowhere Road. Pull up a chairor shake a leg, the choice is yours!
There will be tractor & wagon rides aroundthe corn maze. Take a unique family photo inthe photo booth or challenge your friends ina pie eating contest.
Join in all the Old Time Country Fair fun onSaturday, September 19 from 12- 5PM.
The Old Time Country Fair will conclude withan evening Ranch Party at The Peg. Doors openat 8:30 PM, with music from 9 PM -12 AM,featuring live ECMA nominated band, EBAnderson & The Resolutes. Quench your thirstwith specialty beverages including local craftbeer.
Dance the night away, under the stars or relaxand enjoy the musical entertainment frominside the giant tent.
You won’t want to miss this event…get yourfriends together for one last send off tosummer social!

The Harvest 4 Hunger NS Growing Project,located at Captain Cob’s Corn Maze, involveslocal farmers, agribusiness, Masstown Marketand Trinity United Church working togetherto raise funds for the Canadian FoodgrainsBank in an effort to end world hunger.
Saturday evening Aug. 8 was a special occasion at the Ottawa House By-the-Sea Museum
A by invitation only Sir Charles Tupper Ball was held to honour the 100th anniversary of oneof our Fathers’ of Confederation at the very place he might have held one himself. The
attendees came dressed as they might have at that time, and were properly introduced to theballroom. A lively evening with tea and delights, and music and dancing of the times.
