    4.1 SHELLS Covered by 6-year warranty.

    4.2 EAR FLAPS/NECK PROTECTORS 1 Year warranty. We recommend they be replaced after a maximum of 50 wash cycles

    4.3 FACE SHIELD/EYE PROTECTORS 2-year warranty. Replace once scratched or deformed by heat, smoke or other pollutants.

    4.4 COMPONENTS 2-year warranty (except neck protectors)

    4.4 GENERAL

    STEPS:

    All externally manufactured complete accessories shall be covered by the relevant manufacturers warranty. These products are not covered by Pacific Helmets warranty. Copies of the relevant manufacturers warranties are available on request. (I.e. Torches & Radio Communication Sets)

    These warranties cover only faulty materials or workmanship and exclude fair wear and tear, of which the Manufacturer (or his agent) shall be the sole arbiter.

    Many firefighting, or rescue operations including training or simply careless use can result in damage to the equipment, which is not covered by the warranty.

    The above warranty time limits do not imply any form of helmet life expectancy. These time frames simply place reasonable limits on the discovery of faulty materials and allow these to be dealt with.

    Reinforced Kevlar composite helmet shells and most other subcomponents can be expected in normal operating circumstances to have a useable life expectancy in excess of 15 years.

    It is recommended staff involved in hot fire training should wear their helmets with aluminized hoods over the shells when engaged in these activities.

    Use the thumb to push the lower edge of the eye protector upward gently.

    A clicking sound can be heard and the eye protector will descend gradually from up position automatically;

    To stow, use the thumb again and push the eye protectorback up gently;

    Stop pushing when the same clicking sound is heard again. The eye protector is now locked in place.
