Gas Usage Savings of 3000Kws per week

Our client Strathmore Mineral Water, wanted to reduce energy consumption/

wastage and improve their energy efficiency with in the facility.

CPA carried out a full and comprehensive operational survey revealing the

warehouse distribution door as a major source of energy loss due to the sheer

number of hours this door is spent open during product loading and unloading.

We installed an Enershield Air Barrier above the warehouse door. The Enershield

Air Barrier creates a virtual door by re-circulating ambient air and forcing it across

an opening to create up to a 90% seal. The seal separates the atmospheres on

either side preventing the transfer of temperature, humidity, dust, odours and

flying insects.

Immediately after installation they were able to switch off two radiant tube

heaters in the warehouse rated at 22kw each whilst still maintaining the working

environment temperature. This has resulted in substantial savings on gas usage.

Our client reports that prior to the installation they were using on average

10,000Kwh of gas per week compared to 7,000Kwh per week for the same period.

Other benefits from the installation of

the Enershield Air Barrier include the

prevention of flying insects entering

the facility and improved working

environment for staff on colder days.

Enershield Air Barrier

Installed at terminal entrances/exits, baggage carousels and loading bays, the Enershield Air Barrier has proved a success. By recirculating ambient air to create a “virtual” door, the Enershield Air Barrier creates up to a 90% seal across an opening, providing benefits such as thermal comfort, energy savings and prevention of the ingress of ex-ternal pollutants.

High Volume, Low Speed Fan

Installed in hangars to provide thermal comfort and reduced energy consumption, the HVLS Fan gently distributes the heat trapped at ceiling level back down to occupied level, equalising the air temperature between floor and roof level. These fans not only provide destratification during the heating season but also benefit the user during the summer when ambient temperature rises; the fan speed can be increased to provide a breeze-like cooling effect.

Steril-Aire UVC High Power Germicidal Emitters

Steril-Aire kills 99.9% of viruses, bacteria and mould. Installed in HVAC systems to provide constant coil cleaning, reduce infection dissemination and improve indoor air quality.
