BTEC Students

• The students will be staying in is the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead. It is located 4.1 miles away from the Metro Centre.

• To get to the Metro Centre they will take a minibus which will take 10 minutes.

• They will be eating at Nandos which is located in the Metro Centre and then be going to the cinema to see a film.

• They will then take a minibus back this will take them 10 minutes.

German Couple

• This couple will stay in the Ambassadors Bloomsbury where they can communicate in German with the staff. It will cost around £500.

• The hotel is located in Central London. The couple is in walking distance of Euston station. They can use the London Underground to get around.

• From here they could get to the London Eye, Big Ben and Oxford Street and Regents Street to go shopping. There are shops such as Apple and Burlington Arcade.

• They will take a car to Wimbledon which will take them 30 minutes.

Shiplake College under 14B rugby team

• The boys will stay in Holiday Inn Express in Watford. • They will play St Clement Danes who are in Chorleywood one

day and get there by minibus which will take 15 minutes. • They will also play Watford Boys Grammar School and take a

minibus which will take 5 minutes. • Both nights they will eat at Nandos both nights which is in

walking distance. • They will see England v France and will take the minibus

which will take 35 minutes.

Couple from China • In London they will stay in Central Park hotel which is located by Hyde

Park.• From there they will travel to Cardiff by plane. They will go to London

Gatwick and get an easy jet flight to Cardiff. This will take them 30 minutes.

• In Cardiff they will stay in De Vere Village Cardiff which is located in Coryton. The distance of travel is 4 miles.

• From there they will go to Cardiff Airport and get another easy jet plane to Edinburgh.

• At Edinburgh they would stay in a premier inn in central Edinburgh, Haymarket.

• From here they will go to Edinburgh airport and get an easy jet flight to Belfast.

• In Belfast they will be staying in another premier inn, in the city centre.

London

• London is situated south east of England• It is very easily accessible. There are many gateways in

London. If you are travelling short haul you can go to Gatwick and use an airline such a Easyjet. If you are travelling long haul you can go to Heathrow and travel with British Airways in terminal 5. London also has the St. Pancras which is a massive hub for people to come to London within Europe.

• There is a huge amount of accommodation in London. For example The Ritz or even Holiday Inns if you are looking for a shorter stay.

London • London has a few natural features. For example London has the

River Thames running through it. On the river you can go on River cruises, row and kayak etc. It also has Richmond Park. Richmond Park used to be Charles I hunting ground.

• London also has a range of built attractions. It has the London Eye, Big Ben and London Bridge. It also has many sporting attractions such as the Olympic stadium and Wembley. London also has some good theatrical culture, for example The Globe and The Barbican.

• London has a variety of entertainment. There are clubs and bars for if you want a night out. There are a huge amount of restaurants. Or if you are feeling some educational entertainment there is always the zoos and places like Madam Tussauds.

Lake District

• The Lake District is in the north west of England. • the• Popular ways of getting there is by driving and by taking the

train. Oxenholme is a major train station there. • When you are there, buses are a very popular way of getting

round. • There are many B&Bs in the Lake district as well as hotels and

cottages available for people to stay in.

Lake District

• The Lake District has many natural features. It is a national park. One of the natural features is Lake Windermere which is the longest lake in England. The Bowder stone is another natural feature there.

• The Lakes built attractions are the museum of Lakeland Life and Bootle Evangelical Church

• In the Lake District there is a lot of things to do. A few of the things you can do is fishing, site seeing and sailing.

Southend-on-sea

• Southend is in Essex. It has its own airport called Southend-on-sea airport.

• It is connect to 2 A roads called the A127 or A13 which are turn off from the m25.

• It has a few main station connections for example Southend Victoria.

• When there you can stay in hotels, cottages, B&Bs. There are many types of accommodation there.

• An example of the hotels there are place such premier inns. If you want a more classy stay however there is a place called Roslin which is about £65 per night.

Southend-on-sea

• It has natural features such as beaches which a big attraction for people going their.

• Southend has a lot of built features. For example they have the longest pleasure pier in England. They also have a huge amount of entertainment there.

• Southend-on-sea has one of the oldest theme parks in England called Adventure Playground. It also has many shops and arcades to go to.
