“ORANGE IS…”Orange is a rust-colored sunset, an October pumpkin, a floating

balloonOrange is the taste of drippy dreamsicles, candied sweet

potatoes, a chunk of cheddar cheeseOrange smells like carrots pulled from the garden, like pumpkin

pie cooling on the windowsillOrange is an unpopped kernel rolling around the bottom of the

popcorn bowlOrange feels like suntan lotion on my skin on a sandy beachOrange is a tiger sleeping in the sunOrange is the sound of autumn leaves blowing over my ankles

as I walk from schoolOrange is a Flintstone vitaminOrange is a wad of gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe Orange is the color of heatOrange is energyOrange is awake
