    O==========O| Gameplay |O==========O

    In Pokemon Conquest you play the role of a Warlord destined to take overall kingdoms in Rensei to unite Rensei and call upon the ultimate pokemon.

    Gameplay starts off easy, you invade other nations to take over their kingdomsand call them your own. You command an army of warriors and send them offto nations to take them over. In battles, you control pokemon in order todefeat the enemy, with help from warrior abilities.Warrior abilites can only be used once per battle, so use them wisely.

    Actual gameplay is in the form of Strategy Role Playing Games(RPGS) much likeSMT: Devil Survivor. Each pokemon has a set number of spaces they can moveper turn but can be increased or decreased by pokemon attack or abilities.

    You can link (capture) pokemon after a certain point in the story andpartner up with multiple pokemon per warrior, each with their own limit.

    You can also recruit warriors to join your army and use them and theirpokemon as you wish.

    O==============O| Battle modes |O==============O

    There are two different game modes in Pokemon Conquest. The most commonbattle mode has a simple objective, defeat all enemies before your pokemonare defeated. The second battle mode is a "Capture the flag" kind of battlein which both teams fight to capture all flags on the field and defeat allopposing pokemon. To win in Caprure the flag you must either defeat allopponents and capture all the flags or capture all the flags and defend themfor 5 turns in order to win without defeating all the opponents.

    O==========O| Kingdoms |O==========O

    Kingdoms are the main objective of the game. Once you have conquered akingdom by defeating the Warlord in charge of the kingdom you have completecontrol over the kingdom and do with is as you wish.

    In a kingdom you can enter areas where wild pokemon reside or where warriorsare temporarily traveling. Here you can recruit warriors or link with wildpokemon. Some kingdoms have unique areas only available to that location thathave special effects you can't find anywhere else.

    You can level up areas in kingdoms to make them bigger and atract strong, orevolved pokemon in some cases, after beating the main story by putting moneyinside the banks in the kingdoms.

    O==========O| Warriors |O==========O

    Warriors are what control pokemon. Each warrior has its own Ability, someunique only to them, that can be used ONCE PER BATTLE.Each Warrior can create links with a specific number of pokemon, if thewarrior has reached their capacity, they can release a pokemon and replacethem. Warriors can be dismissed by recruiting a new warrior and sending them

  • 8/11/2019 p Conquest

    7/181

    to the kingdom with the warrior you want to replace. If the kindom is fullyou will be asked if you want to dismiss a warrior, say yes and select whichwarrior to dismiss and replace.The warrior you dismissed will still wander around rensei and will keep ALLpokemon he/she had when you dismissed the warrior.

    So how do recruit Warriors?To recruit warriors you must accomplish one of the three requirements

    Defeat the warrior in 4 turns or earlierORDefeat the warrior with a Super-effective attackORDefeat the warrior without any of your pokemon taking damage

    Death by conditions such as burn or poison DO NOT COUNT!

    O==========O| Warlords |

    O==========OWarlords control kingdoms or assist in the defense of a kingdom.Warlords typically have better stats than normal warriors and have theability to trasnform, strenghtening their power even more! They can onlybe recruited after their kingdom has been conquered by your army.

    They can be recruited by accomplishing the following requirements:

    you *MUST* do the following with another *WARLORD*:Defeat the warrior in 4 turns or earlierORDefeat the warrior with a super-effective attackORDefeat the warrior without any of your pokemon taking damage

    If the warlord does not land the finishing blow, the Warlord you triedto recruit will run off! Death by conditions such as burn or poison DO NOTCOUNT!

    O===============O| Pokemon Links |O===============O

    Link is the "Level" in Conquest. Each pokemon gains a bit of link percentageafte every battle. The higher the link, the higher the pokemon can growand become stronger.

    Each pokemon has a certain warrior or warlord they have a PERFECT LINK with.A perfect link is when the pokemon and the warrior/warlord can link witheach other at 100%, allowing the pokemon to reach its full potential.

    When performing a link with a pokemon you can tell if the pokemon is aperfect match, or close to perfect in some cases, by the small coin iconabove their head.

    A coin with an X over it means the pokemon cannot link with the warriorNo coin with a purple aura means the pokemon can be linkedNo coin with no aura means you have already linked with the pokemonA bronze coin means the pokemon is not a great link with the warriora silver coin means the pokemon is a decent link with the warrior

  • 8/11/2019 p Conquest

    8/181

    a gold coin means the pokemon is an excellent link with the warrior

    In some cases, a gold coin may not lead to a perfect 100% link but a80-90% link, still great but not perfect!

    ** Credit goes to Isfan for this next bit of info! **"While the game gives the impression, and I'm sure had full intention,of making the Ball-of-Light mini-game to Link with new Pokemon a Rhythmbased game, it's actually not. In rhythm based games, you can only hiteach note once, if you hit it early it cannot be hit again immediatelyafter when the timing is perfect. However, for this game when we hit thebutton when the ball of light reaches the circle outline, the ball doesnot disappear. In fact, we can press the A button multiple times per ballof light to improve our Link with the wild Pokemon. You can hit theA button as early as when the right edge of the Ball of Light first touchesthe left edge of the Circle Outline, and I find it rather easy to justdouble-tap the A button for each ball of light, filling up my meter twiceas fast."

    O==================O| Evolving Pokemon |O==================O

    Evolving pokemon is quite different from what you might be used to in Conquestmostly because level doesn't have much to do with it in most cases.

    Some pokemon evolve when a stat reaches a certain point, some pokemon can onlyevolve after doing an action in a certain kingdom, other pokemon requirethem to carry an item and evolve after completeling an action somewhere.

    Some require both a stat and a specific location like Galceon.

    Any action such as Mining, Battling, Shopping, etc. count as an action and willallow your pokemon to evolve.

    O=====================================================================O| [Main Story Walkthrough] [006] |O=====================================================================O

    You start in the Kingdom of Aurora, your starting kingdom filled with mostlyNormal-type pokemon. You are introduced to a couple of characters thenambushed by some warriors from the Ignis Kingdom, basically for a tutorial.

    This battle is fairly easy as it is the tutorial of the game, just take out

    the enemies to win, easy!

    O========================O| Post-battle activities |O========================O

    After that fight I recommend you at least train once in Aurora before goingon to Ignis. Doing so will unlock the springs in Aurora. I'm not sure if thisis required, but I did it anyways. I will not be covering side battles muchin this guide as they are all honestly pretty easy and the main focus ofthis guide is really just warlord battles.

    O=====================================================================O| [Ignis] [008] |O=====================================================================O

    O=====================================================================O| Battle Conditions: Defeat all enemies | Turns: 20 |O=====================================================================O

    | Terrains: Spring, Magma, Fire Walls |O=====================================================================O| The walls of fire will move around every once in awhile and at the || end of turns, boulders will fall from the sky and randomy hit any || pokemon out on the field, beware fo this! |O=======================O==================O==========================O| Enemies & PKMN | Types | Attacks |O=======================O==================O==========================O| Hideyoshi & Chimchar | Fire | Ember ** || Nagayasu & Bidoof | Normal | Headbut *** || Koroku & Tepig | Fire | Ember ** |O================O====================================================O| Strategy |O================O

    This battle is somewhat easy, just avoid the lava. I usually tend to justskip my first turn and let the enemies come to me then ambush them on turn 2.If you end up moving too far on turn 1 you're leaving yourself open to anattack from chimchar as he has a long range. Once chimchar gets closer youcan try to ambush him with both Eevee and jigglypuff. Chimchar should be yourmain focus. Once you have Chimchar down focus on either Tepig or Bidoof, itdoesn't matter much, they're both pretty weak. If you're low on HP you can usethe springs to heal up or use Oichi's skill to heal everyone up.

    O========================O| Post-battle activities |O========================O

    After conquering Ignis you should train up a bit and recruit some warriorswith fire pokemon to make the next fight in Greenleaf a piece of cake.Even a single fire pokemon would help! Darumaka has a pretty strong attack sotry and recruit him if you can, a tepig or charmander also helps as well.If you do end up getting a charmander, try evolving it into a charizard, itis a pretty good fire-type in the end.

    | Battle Conditions: Capture all Flags | Turns: 15 |O=====================================================================O| Terrains: Grass |O=====================================================================O| Recommended Types: Fire | Power: 300 |O=====================================================================O| The vine bridge opens and closes up every other turn but you || probably won't even use it. O================OThis battle isn't too tough either as long as you brought some fire pokemonfrom Ignis. The grass shrubs in this map teleport you to another shrub ifyou stand on it at the end of your move so use those to get across wallsor just move a couple more squares per turn. I split my team up in half andsent half to get the flag on the bottom right of the map and the other halfto the top right flag, picking up the middle flag along the way. Just makesure you send at least one fire pokemon to each side if you can.With fire pokemon this fight doesn't really require much thought but if youfor some reason don't have any fire pokemon just go after Snivy and Pansagefirst as their attacks can hit multiple pokemon and Sewaddles tend to dolittle damage with their bites.

    If you manage to knock-out all pokemon before capturing all 3 flags you willhave to go back and capture all flags before you win the fight! Don't forget!

    O========================O| Post-battle activities |O========================O

    After conquering Greenleaf I recommend recruiting two or three warriors withgrass-type pokemon for the next kingdom to make the next fight just as easyas this one! Carnivine is a great grass-type pokemon that'll help you outquite a bit so try getting it if you can, it is pretty OP during the startof the game until you get access to other grass pokemon. Cottonee is an okaygrass-type as well but it won't do much damage. You could also look intogetting Pansage too since it has the same attack as Carnivine but a bitweaker.

    This battle might be a bit tough depending on which pokemon you bring along.Carnivine is very helpful as it has a strong attack. Avoid staying on thebottom left corner of the map, the squares with a pink/red outline as Pichuwill step on the top left corner switch and shock the entire bottom rightcorner, he only does this once so you should be okay after that. Focus yourattacks on Shinx and Mareep. Then take care of the other 3 smaller pokemonthat should go down pretty quickly.

    Remember that you can use the switches to your advantage as well, you can usethem to take down Panpour and Starly since they're weak against electricattacks.

    O========================O| Post-battle activities |O========================O

    After this conquering Violight you should have recruited Shoun and his Pichuso keep him around just because he has pichu! We now have access to electrictype pokemon. The next kingdom on our list is Chrysalia, but you can hold thatoff for a while while you capture a couple more pokemon. Try and capture atleast 1 flying-type pokemon before heading into Chrysalia, you'll need atleast 2 for Pugilis. You could also take this time to try to evolve a pokemonor two if you REALLY want to, maybe charmander? :D

    O================O

    This battle is pretty easy since the enemies don't have attacks that do a tonof damage. The only thing you gotta watch out for is poison so make the twoVenipedes your priority and hope you dont land on a trap along the way!Use the ponigiri to your advantage if you can, they help out quite a bit ifyou actually manage to get a hit, though you might get hit by them before youget a chance to hit them. Watch out for the sand traps around the area, youwon't see them at first but after one has been activated the space will turninto a switch, so you'll at least know where the traps are!

    O========================O| Post-battle activities |O========================O

    After conquering Chrysalia you've only got one more kingdom to conquer for nowand it should be a piece of cake if you have two or three flying pokemon.If you've been following the guide this far then you should have at least one,try and capture another one for the next kingdom battle. You also should have

    the option to create links with other pokemon as well! Though I don'trecommend replacing Eevee or jigglypuff as they are the best link for the MCand Oichi, you can go ahead and replace any other pokemon if you want though.

    O=====================================================================O| [Pugilis] [013] |O=====================================================================O

    O=====================================================================O| Battle Conditions: Capture all flags | Turns: 30 |O=====================================================================O| Terrains: Normal |O=====================================================================O| Recommended Types: Flying & Psychic | Power: 900 |O=====================================================================O| This field is pretty unique and can be annoying if you don't get || any attacks in before the enemy can hit you. When any pokemon is || attacked on the edge of the ring, they will fall down onto the || bottom of the ring. The blue and red bells on the left and right || side of the ring boost the attack pokemon, blue for your army, red || for the opposing army. The enemy doesn't really ring the bell so || you don't have to worry too much about it |O=======================O==================O==========================O| Enemies & PKMN | Types | Attacks |O=======================O==================O==========================O| Yoshihiro & Gurdurr | Fighting | Wake-Up Slap *** || Tadatsune & Pansage | Grass | Vine Whip ** || Tadamoto & Timburr | Fighting | Low Kick *** || Kanemori & Timburr | Fighting | Low Kick *** || Takahisa & Machop | Fighting | Karate Chop *** |O================O====================================================O| Strategy |O================O

    This fight might seem a bit intimidating at first since the ring whereall the flags are is so enclosed and has very little space, meaningrange attacks don't work as well. Start by sending one pokemon to ringthe bell three times to give all your pokemon a nice attack boost to makethis fight a little easier. Send all your hard hitting pokemon towardsthe ring but make sure you keep your distance so they don't get attacked.Once the enemy gets inside the ring ambush them with your flying types.

    Everyone but Pansage is a threat here, you can easily get rid of pansagewith a fire type pokemon. Make sure you at least have one flag under yourcontrol throughout the entire battle or you risk losing the game! If youcan manage to ambush one pokemon at a time this battle should be pretty easy.You could also try and knock down pokemon off the ring and corner them atthe pottom with some of your pokemon to keep them from moving, this does endup leaving your flags open for other attacks.

    After conquering Pugilis you have the choice of either invading Illusioor Terrera. I will be covering BOTH but I do recommend you invade Terrerainstead because it is WAY easier compared to Illusio, mostly because Illusiohas a very annoying field.

    For Illusio, you'll just need some heavy hitters. Most of their group ismade up of psychic type pokemon, grind your pokemon up a bit if needed.

    For Terrera, you'll need some Water or and Flying-type pokemon if youwant to have the advantage! Ground helps a bit as well. The field forTerrera isn't as annoying as Illusio and the pokemon are a bit weakerthan they are in Illusio so you should have an easier time here.

    ** NOTE **Make sure you are invading with SIX Pokemon from the SAME Kingdom beforechallenging either Kingdom! DO NOT invade from 2 kingdoms as this willsplit your group and make it harder to fight back! Read below for moreinformation!**********

    When you attempt to invade either Terrera or Illusio you will be kickedout of the Kingdom for being "Weak" according to the Warlords of theKingdoms and their Junior Warlords will then come and attack YOUR kingdomafter the event. These fights should be pretty easy as they are only asmall group rather than a 6 people army and you should have no problemfighting back, it is a very easy fight. After winning this fight you geta special...reward!

    After that event you now have the option of challenging the Kingdom youinvaded and got kicked out of! Good luck!

    Try to evolve a flying pokemon like Starly, it'll come in handy in thenext fight.

    This field is pretty easy. Don't have any of your pokemon climb thetowers until turn 3 because the wind ALWAYS blow after a Pokemon has climbedup to the top and knocks pokemon off the top and causing them to lose HP.

    The two to worry about here are Rhyperior for its strong rock attackand Drilbur for its annoying dig attack. Rhyperior shouldn't be toomuch trouble since he can only use the attack every 2 turns, meaningyou have a good chance of taking it out while its charging, no tomention its range is 3 spaces away with a Range of 2. It tends to stayin the back for a bit until the end.

    On turn 3 start sending your pokemon up onto towers to take them over.Keep your heavy hitters on the bottom to take out the small-fry andRhyperior. Once you have Rhyperior out of the way you can easily takeout the rest and capture the flags before the turn count ends!

Monfernocan easily be taken down with a water-type. Make sure you at least have oneflag under your control, I kept the flag on the top right under my control atall times.

    Go after Spiritomb as your first target, try and ambush it as quick aspossible because it has an affect that lowers accuracy, if you let him livelong enough you'll eventually lose so much accuracy that makes landing attacks

    pretty hard in the long run. Arbok can easily poison you so make it your nexttarget after getting rid of spiritomb, or take both of them out at the sametime by splitting up your team. Ekans and Zubat are fairly easy to take outso you don't have to worry too much about them. Golbat is pretty easy as wellif you ambush it with a couple of pokemon.

    This fight could be hard or easy, depending on your pokemon. Though I guessthat could be said with any battle right? Shingen should help make thisfight a bit easier with his rock attack. The only pokemon you really needto watch out for are Braviary, the rest have nothing we haven't seen yet.Braviary has an attack similar to dig, it takes your pokemon for a turn andslams them to the ground on the next turn, you can't attack Braviary while itis using its attack.

    You could go all out in a head on attack or you could wait for them to cometo you, honestly, its easier to just hold back and wait for them to come atyou since they can all just fly over the gaps instead of having to use theramps like non-flying pokemon have to use. Set up a good defense and wait forthe enemy to come to you. Take out all the small pokemon to make taking outBraviary easier. Keep Shingen near the back so it can use its rock attacksince he needs to have a pretty big distance for it to land an attack.

    Once you have Braviary out of the way the rest of the fight should be prettyeasy with some ambushes. Try and avoid getting poisoned by Golbat, other thanthat, you really have nothing to worry about!

    You start off the battle split in half. I recommend getting your armytogether in the center of the field, try to avoid the cameras if you can,unless you wanna gamble it and hope it actually moves you closer to themiddle. You can ignore the Arons and Chimecho, attack them as they come,they should go down pretty easily.

    Metagross tends to stick together with other pokemon so keep this in mind.Remeber that Metagross will defend and take a teammate's place. Once you take

    Try and stay out of Dusclops' way or take it out early so your pokemon don'tget hit by its ability that reduces accuracy!

    Start by staying together and moving along the bottom side of the field.You'll probably end up being surrounded by all of them anyways so juststay around there and wait for them to come. Zekrom is obviously the pokemon to be scared of on this fight but heshouldn't be too tough if you brought a couple of Flying and Ice pokemon.I had Glaceon during this battle which made this so much easier due to itstype and its high attack. Beartic also helped make this fight a lot easier.

    You can take out Fraxure with a flying pokemon, with the help of any otherpokemon that you bring it should go down pretty easy, same goes for Gabitethough it might take another attack. Deino was a pretty easy kill as well.

    Simisage can also be taken down with a flying type, or a fire type if youbrought one, Ice types do fine too. It shouldn't pose much of a threat aslong as you don't get within range of it since Leaf Storm can get prettynasty if it gets you.

Lucario goes down after someflying attacks and help from other pokemon. Rayquaza should be easy

    after you've gotten rid of everything else. You have no turn limit hereso you can take you sweet time on this one.

    Start of by sending your army towards the center but not all the way,wait for them to come to you so you can get the first attack.

    Make Lucario a priority as Arceus is weak against his attacks, you don'twant to end up losing your legendary to something like that!

    Arceus isn't exactly strong so don't rely on him too much. Have yourother pokemon pitch in by attacking the pokemon they have an advantageover. Attack rayquaza if you can but don't try to be a hero! Rayquazadoes quite a lot of damage!

    *** NOTE ***Things that pass over from story to story:Pokemon: Pokemon linked with Warriors and Warlords WILL be saved buttheir link percentage will RESET!PLEASE REMEMBER TO USE THE POKEMON/WARRIOR AT LEAST ONCE TO MAKE SURETHE POKEMON/WARRIOR IS ADDED TO YOUR GALLARY!IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF YOURE POKEMON/WARRIOR HAS SAVED, PRESS THE "LISTS"BUTTON IN THE MAP MENU AND MAKE SURE EVERY WARRIOR AND POKEMON HAVE AGOLD POKEBALL NEXT TO THEM!

    Items: SOME items WILL be saved but not a lot. These items include ALLitems on the last tab and some items like Guardian Charm in the secondtab.

    Money: MONEY WILL NOT BE SAVED!Area Upgrades: UPGRADES WILL NOT BE SAVED

    I suggest starting with the lower star missions and working your wayup as this will help you slowly work up your Gallery and allow youto link with more pokemon, making future stories easier.

    Difficulty: ***Clear Conditions: Unite all of RenseiMy rating after beating it: **Unlocks:Nene: Teaching Them a LessonHanbei: The Reluctant Genius

    Another story similar to the main story! Unite all nations and bringpeace to Rensei! This is a GREAT story to transform any Warlords youwant and evolve any pokemon you can! Take advantage of this story!Transforming Hanbei and Kanbei into their 2nd ranks are easier herebecause you start off with the two right off the bat!

    Start by taking over Greenleaf. You have chimchar so taking them outshould be a piece of cake! You really shouldn't require any pointershere...Fire vs Grass! How could you lose!?

    After this fight I took the oportunity of putting the password forPikachu so Hanbei could link with it and form a perfect link!You can do so if you wish, or you can save the password for someoneelse but Hanbei is the Warlord who best fits with Pikachu/Raichu.I used the following month to capture the best Pikachu from the swarm.I'm trying to get as many perfect links as possible without having togrind as much. If you get pickachu this early on, the link will be prettyhigh near the end.

    I also managed to recruit Motnori with Snivy! Another evoltuon and Warlordtransformation! Not bad right? :D

    Now that I had Pikachu, I went after Fontain for the type advantage!It also only contained 4 pokemon so it was the easiest match out of allthe rest. Everything should be pretty easy if you have Snivy and Pikachuwith you, even Snivy is enough to take everything down fairly easily! Youwould also have Mareep with you as well.

    From now on make sure you use ALL of your warriors for something! Miningfor gold will help you out A LOT later on when you have to upgradefacilities or anything like that. If you happen to have a Meowth/Perisanwith you, use them for mining! They give a TON of gold! :D

    Next up is the lovely kingdom of Aurora! If you've been keeping up youshould have a couple of Warlords with you now. Though were still missingthe perfect link for Kanbei, we can pick it up later in the game.Your next target should be Oichi! I'm not sure if its possible totransform her without clearing her story but it should be possible...I hope!

    Everything in Aurora is pretty easy as well...really not much of a challange

    when you have an army of Warlords and their perfect links! The only annoyingthing about this battle is the Audino that heals every turn and Oichi's SweetSong ability that restors HP. Try focusing all your attacks on one Pokemonso it doesn't end up healing right as its about to die! Don't forget aboutJigglypuff's Lullaby ability either! It could put your Pokemon to sleep!

    I took this time to recruit a couple more warriors for mining but you cango ahead and continue if you wish! or do whatever you feel you need to getdone. I also managed to get someone with a meowth on my team!

    Once youre ready to move on, head after Violight! The typical annoyingpokemmon here is Shinx along with Emolga but you should do fine withthe pokemon you have. Only Motochika and Oshawott will have a bit oftrouble here but bring him along anyways, you should do fine with agood group of 5.

    After that fight my Chimchar evolved so I got a shiny new pokemon!I also got attacked by Yoshihiro the next turn and failed to defendIgnis! My next turn was spent getting it back with one back up teamand used my main group to take over Pugilis for payback!

    In the time I've been playing this game I've grown to love Pugilis,mostly because of how easy it is to win! Go in with your normal army.Oshawott should shine proud on this fight as well as a couple otherpokemon with range attacks as they can help knock enemy pokemon offthe ring. Don't forget to ring the bell for attack boosts! I was ableto knock most of them off the ring as soon as they captured theirbanners! The fight should be easy as long as you keep knocking peopleoff and bottlenecking the entrance to the ring as they come back up.That'll teach them not to mess with me! If you were fast enough youshould've been able to recruit them all! If not, its okay!

    By now a couple of armies started taking over kingdoms in the east.Now our next target is Chrysalia and its army of bug/grass typePokemon! It should be pretty easy now that you have Chimchar andmaybe another fire-type pokemon, if not then Chimchar could easilydo some damage on his own. My main group now is completely built upof Warlords from the past nations, the only one I didn't get to recruitwas Ginchiyo, but I'll get to her later on. I plan on transforming EVERYwarlord I possibly can during this walkthrough!

    Now onto the fight! Use the Ponigiri balls to your advantage as always!It should be pretty crazy with a 6 on 6 but use them when you can to getthe upper hand on the enemy. The only real tough guy here would be Larvestain my opnion, everyone else either has a very weak attack or can easily betaken down by Monferno.

    At this point I set all my current nations to search for new warriors, youdon't have to do this as I am really only doing this to build up my databasefor this guide.

    Your next target should be Illusio. You want to take that place down whilethere aren't that many warriors there as the battle gets pretty annoyingwhen its a 6v6. a 6v4 is much more managable and easier to win. Overallyou should have very little trouble with it, the only strong thing theremay be a Scyther depending on what warrior is there but even scythercould be taken down easily with Monferno so it shouldn't prove to bemuch of a threat in the end. Just focus on the flags and let the enemycome to you.

    I'd like to take a bit of time to point out a special little item that maybe obtainable at this point. Two words, Guardian Charm. This little charmwill make raising links with pokemon so much easier! You can get the charmfrom traveling merchants for 10,000 coins, a great investment. The charmgreatly boosts the stats of a pokemon if it is the only allied pokemon alivemaking it very easy to solo AND gain a ton of % link in the process! Thebest part about it is that you keep it even after starting a new story!10k for such an item is a steal!

    Also start building up a back-up army that can fight against challangesfrom other kingdoms and try to block them off from the rest of yourkingdoms in the back! Keep doing this after every battle so you don'tend up losing a castle for no reason!

    For your next fight you'll wanna head into Terrera and take care ofShingen's army! This time he has a Rhyhorn instead of his Rhyperiorso it should be a lot easier since you don't have to worry abouthis big range attack, though it was never really that scary. Notthat many threatening pokemon here, you should do just fine witha good army of water/grass/fire types which you should have fromall the Warlords you've gotten this far.

    I was able to recruit three Warlords after that match! Good catch?I suggest you put in Shingen in your group and raise his link % asa group because raising his % alone is pretty tough because of theattack it has, the recharge time & his speed is pretty slow, makinghim bad at soloing. Oshawott and Snivy also evolved after this.

    I then took over Avia, there was only 1 warrior there. Kinda weird.It might be different for you depending on who took over what butstick to the general strategy of staying behind and waiting for themto come to you and you should do just fine. Exploit enemy weakness likealways and you should make it out of there with no trouble at all!

    Now move on to Valora. Nobunaga had all the kingdoms in the southtaken over and hes a bit hard to beat so going to Nixtorm to grab someice pokemon will make fighting Nobunaga a lot easier! Your next targetis Valora and its annoying field and Steel Pokemon! Chimchar should beyour heavy hitter here and will probably take out most of them. Focusyour attacks on Lairon and Steelix, the rest should be pretty easywith the rest of your group since they all have pretty common weaknesses.

    Now onto Spectra! There were only 3 warriors here so I wanted to get itout of the picture while the army was small because I hate those littlefireballs on this field. None of the pokemon in here were tough at all,one of them was even a magikarp! Take em out with full force, as if itwas even needed!

    Next in line is Nixtorm for its Ice-type pokemon! Camp the back and waitfor the enemy to come to you and just take them out as they come. Whenyou've taken out most of them go after the leftovers and ambush themwith all your pokemon for an easy win, it really shouldn't be too tough.Lapras is the only real threat here.

    Now your next target is Dragnor! I was hoping to get Aya by now but Iguess I was wrong D: The tough one in Dragnor will be Gabite, Dratiniand Axew for their dragon attacks. Dratini and Axew will always do 40damage but Gabite will do a bit let, at least to Monferno and otherPokemon who aren't weak to dragon-types. Use the orbs here to youradvantage and heal with them when you can. This would've been easier

    if you brought Ice-types but I didn't have any so I Just used bruteforce! Move up slowly but let them come to you, make sure you don'tstand next to elemental orbs or you'll take damage, you don't wantthat!

    You should have all of the North of Rensei in your grasp now and onlyhae the south to take over. My plan is to corner Nobunaga or whoeveris in Yaksha and just hold them off while I go out and grind. I wantto leave one Kingdom open so they have something to take over, thisway I can invade it and take it back and get a bit more of a linkboost compared to normal battles.

    Nobunaga only had one Kingdom left in his name, obviously I wantto take it! Head into Viperia and bring your main Army along. Thearmy you used in Dragnor should do fine since the pokemon hereare very similar. This is a capture the flag match so winning itis even easier! Just watch out for Gabite again and get rid of it,Gyarados and Dratini because they're the heavy hitters in this battle.If you still have your Pikachu around you should do just fine! :DFocus on the flags and just let them come to you, stay in groupsif you can to take them out a lot easier.

    The next place on your list is Cragspur, bring your main army alongas you'll be facing off against Kotaro and a mix of pokemon. Make sureyou look at what pokemon the enemy has and bring at least 1 pokemon toexploit their weaknesses. They had 3 electric-types and some ground/rocktypes so I brought some psychic types and heavy hitters. Boldore went downquick with my water-type. The enemy wont use the rocks here so you're safeto roam around.

    Now, you should have all but one kingdom left to conquer, which means it endsthe story. You can continue and finish the story or you can stick around andtransform/evolve your Warlords and Pokemon, as many as you can. You can alsouse this oportunity to recruit any Warriors or Pokemon you want. I'm gonnaspend my time recruiting as many warriors as a I can and pokemon to buildup my Gallery for this guide. You can go ahead and continue if you want!If you haven't already, remember to buy a couple of Guarding Charms toraise links up faster! You can get Guardian Charms from the TravelingMerchant that appears randomly.

    Now that you've done all you wanted to do head into Yaksha and take it out!

    The enemy probably got a lot stronger depending on how much you took. Ifyou do end up having trouble with this try equiping your entire partywith Guardian Charms, last one standing will get a HUGE power-up!Exploit the enemy weakness and bring your strongest pokemon/warlords andyou should do just fine! :D

    Now you're all done with Hideyoshi's story and can easily breeze throughmost of the other stories since you have a good army of powerful Warlordsnow!

    Unlocks:Tadakatsu: The Unparalleled WarriorHanzo: A Ninja Amongst Ninjas

    This story is good to build up your pokemon army! Your count starts freshat 3/100 pokemon but the pokemon you've linked with before are still savedin your gallery so in the end you'll only need to link with 97 pokemon!THIS DOES NOT MEAN 100 UNIQUE POKEMON! MULTIPLES OF THE SAME POKEMON COUNT!EVOLUTIONS DO NOT COUNT!If any other army reaches 100 pokemon, you lose the story! Don't waste toomuch time on it!

    If you're gonna go for some legendaries in the future I recommend you startbuilding some facilities. Check the pokemon section to see which ones youshould build for the legendary pokemon.

    Try and make the most of this episode and only link pokemon with warriorsthat have a silver/gold coin, this might not be always possible but itsworth a shot!

    Recruiting warriors makes this a bit easier if you already gave warriorsmultiple pokemon in the past. Once you manage to get enough warriors itgets a bit easier as you can start linking with even more pokemon at atime.

    I went after Spectra as my first target and recruited pokemon there thenmoved on to Dragnor the Nixtorm. By then I had around 25 pokemon.I then moved south a bit and conquered Avia, Cragspur, Yaksha, and Viperia.By this time I had about 60 pokemon. I've only gotten attacked twice atthis point so you shouldn't have too much trouble with invasions.

    I then set out to move to the west a bit but I was at about 80 pokemon bythis time so I just started focusing on linking new pokemon and recruitingmore people! This should be easy enough.

    After there were only 3 Kingdoms left, the 3 got energy after plotting totake Ginchiyo down because she was gaining to much power, though theyhonestly don't seem to be much of a threat even after this little power up!

    I then went after Cragspur and finally Avia for the win! I had 500 powermore than them so it wasn't hard at all.Not a difficult story overall...I don't see how this qualifies for adifficulty of 3...but okay! You just proved Ginchiyo is the beauty of theland! Don't know why they couldn't have just had a beauty contest but okay!

    The picture at the story's summary is awesome by the way, just saying.

    Difficulty: ***Clear Condition: Unite all of Rensei before January, Year 4.My rating after beating it: ***

    Unlocks:No:Gracia:

    Another unite all Kingdoms quest. If you've grinded out most, if not all,of the transformations for Warlords and evolved all their Pokemon you shoulddo just fine, if not, you might struggle a bit! At least this story has astoryline that is a bit more important to the main story!

    This story is a bit tougher because you have to complete the story in beforeJanuary, year 4! No time to lose! Make haste and try to spend as little timegrinding as possible!

    Start by taking over Dragnor to recruit some Dragon pokemon. If you're havingtrouble with this equip your Lapras with a Guardian Charm and just plowthrough them all alone, you can use this strategy for a couple of places herebut some of them might stomp you because of Lapras' weaknesses.

    Next move onto Valora as that field is annoying and you want to get it out ofthe way. You might end up getting attacked from now on so always make sureyour dungeons are covered from enemy attacks! You can solo them with Laprasif you want, it should do fine.

    Next you have spectra. You should have some Dragon pokemon with you if you canto make things easier as they always tend to do 40 damage, something that youcan actually rely on! Using Lapras solo still works though.

    Now we move onto Avia, I wouldn't solo this with Lapras but you can if youwant to, mostly because of Magoichi. Exploit their weaknesses and you shoulddo just fine!

    The other Armies might start fighting each other now so the followingkingdoms might be different depending on who attacks who!

    Next move onto Viperia and try to recruit Hanzo if you can! He'll come inhandy for future takeovers if you have Gengar with him! He has poison/bugpokemon and some ghost so you should do fine since they don't do much damage,just avoid his Spiritomb until the end!

    Next in line is Yaksha for Kotaro! I didn't get Kotaro a Zoroark so he wasn't

  • 8/11/2019 p Conquest

    34/181

    too helpful for me, Lapras can handle this place alone as it is strong againstdragon-type pokemon. If you are having trouble just bring other pokemon alongand exploit weaknesses like always!

    Now that we have most of the West down we move onto Terrera, you can usethe flags but it really shouldn't be much trouble just winning by bruteforce! Don't forget that the wind always blows after a Pokemon has climbed tothe top! Don't be the first one up there! Fire-pokemon will do fine here asmost of them are Steel-type, I don't suggest you solo with lapras here as youmight have a bit of trouble with it!

    Illusio is your next target and should again be somewhat easy, dependingon how many pokemon are in there because of the annoying field, I wouldfocus on capturing the flags as this might be a bit of a tough fight!Like always just try to exploit weaknesses and heal if you can! Potionsdon't hurt in this battle!

    Now that we're halfway done we move onto Chrysalia, this battle reallychanges depending on who fought who so take a look at the pokemon your

    opponent has and just exploit weaknesses and you should do fine. Youshould have a couple of Warlords by now since you've gotten rid of Nobunagaand his army.

    These last couple of kingdoms might be different depending on who took overwho during your playthrough so just exploit their weaknesses, it should beretty easy considering the fields here are pretty small and easy to controlwithout too many annoying effects.

    == ALTERNATE STRATEGY ==

    If you are truly having trouble with this story you could try playing otherstories and building up your library of pokemon and Warlords in other longstories like Hideyoshi's and come back when you have more pokemon with you!

    Someone also suggested you storm through all of Nobunaga's kingdoms andignore the ones on the west and make your way down South to Aurora andstart taking over Kingdoms there and recruiting W
