Initial Focus ~ the strategic plans that U.S. federal agencies are required to compile and maintain under the Government Performance & Results Act (GPRA)

Intent ~ establish an international voluntary consensus standard (AIIM/ANSI/ISO) for potential use by all organizations worldwideProspective PurposesSharing, referencing, indexing, discovery, linking, reuse, and analyses of the elements of strategic plansStrategic alignment via literal linkagesDiscovery of potential performance partnersStakeholder feedbackOvercome the tendency of plans to become outdated "shelfware"Reduce inconsistencies, and delays associated with "stovepipe" systems Compliance with eGov Act stakeholder linkage requirement
