INVOCATION
CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 68:8–10; 35
✤ HYMN No 01 Brethren, We Have Met to Worship
CONFESSING CHRIST Matthew 5:1–12 Leader: And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Congregation: Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
Leader: Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.
Congregation: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
Leader: Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.
Congregation: Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
Leader: Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.
“The earth shook; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary. Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor. O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!”
✤ HYMN No 02 Hail to the Lord’s Anointed
CONFESSION OF SIN Ruling Elder Rob McNair Pastoral Prayer Responsive:
ASSURANCE OF PARDON Matthew 9:1–8 Ruling Elder:
“So He got into a boat, crossed over, and came to His own city. Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, “This Man blasphemes!” But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” And he arose and departed to his house. Now when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men.” Amen.
Elder: God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have been as fig trees planted in a vineyard.
Congregation: You have come seeking fruit from us, but have found very little.
Elder: You came looking for plump, sweet grapes, but You found sour fruit.
Congregation: Forgive us Lord and give us tangible repentance.
All: Give us lives of abundant obedience, especially toward the vulnerable. Amen.
Congregation: Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Leader: “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
All: Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
✤ HYMN No 03 Come, Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy
TITHES AND OFFERINGS Giving of Our Gifts Offertory
✤ Doxology: Praise God from whom all blessings flow,Praise Him all creatures here below,Praise Him above, ye Heav’nly hosts;Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER
THE WORD PREACHED Reading of Scripture Deuteronomy 24:6-22 “Community of Dignity Part 2” Pastor Jesse M. Crutchley
✤ HYMN No 04 Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing
BENEDICTION✤ Postlude
SERMON NOTES“Community of Dignity Part 2”
Deuteronomy 24:6-22
A. Sins receive their aggravations,
1. From the persons offending: if they be of riper age, greater experience or grace, eminent for profession, gifts, place, office, guides to others, and whose example is likely to be followed by others.
2. From the parties offended; if immediately against God, his attributes, and worship; against Christ, and his grace; the Holy Spirit, his witness, and workings; against superiors, men of eminency, and such as we stand especially related and engaged unto; against any of the saints, particularly weak brethren, the souls of them, or any other, and the common good of all or many.
3. From the nature and quality of the offense: if it be against the express letter of the law, break many commandments, contain in it many sins: if not only conceived in the heart, but breaks forth in words and actions, scandalize others, and admit of no reparation: if against means, mercies, judgments, light of nature, conviction of conscience, public or private admonition, censures of the church, civil punishments and our prayers, purposes, promises, vows, covenants, and engagements to God or men: if done deliberately, willfully, presumptuously, impudently, boastingly, maliciously, frequently, obstinately, with delight, continuance, or relapsing after repentance.
4. From circumstances of timer and place: if on the Lord’s day, or other times of divine worship; or immediately before or after these, or other helps to prevent or remedy such miscarriages:y if in public, or in the presence of others, who are thereby likely to be provoked or defiled.
